The movie Sim0ne with Al Pacino is a classic for looking closely at the self-concept that invented this world. Pacino's character in this movie is a film-maker who, having become disgruntled at the demands of human actors, employs computer technology to invent a "vactor" (virtual actor") that will star in his movies. Instead of being honest with the public about the fact that his actor is a computer invention however, he makes them believe she is real. In the same way, the ego has projected this world and peopled it with "virtual actors" that are not real but SEEM to be so. The journey that Pacino's character has to go through in order to free himself of the conflict parallel's our own journey of awakening.
