Noach was a tzaddik, but his generation was not. But if he lived in the time of Avraham Avinu, he would have been a greater tzaddik by his influence rubbing off on him.

There is a Halacha that one should bathe and have a haircut before Rosh Hashana because we're confident in the outcome. However, the Gemara tells us that we don't say Hallel on Rosh Hashana due to its severity. So what is it? It seems like a contradiction?!?!?
