  • Sunday, May 1 - Saved Alone, Jonah 3
Do you ever feel ill-equipped for what God has called you to do?  Have you ever thought your ill-equippedness is what God will use to minister to someone else?

Stop listening to you and start listening to God.

  • April 27 - The Bigger Picture
When Paul write Philippians he's in prison and chained to a Roman guard.  And, yet, even from prison, Paul wants to talk about how good God is to us. Paul's view wasn't just of prison, it was of people hearing the gospel at all cost.

  • Sunday, April 24 - Saved Alone, Jonah 2
That feeling of isolation we get sometimes can be a good thing.  Away from everything. It's the opportunity for God to speak loud and clear.

God showed Jonah grace, and put Jonah in isolation.

  • Wednesday, April 20 - Struggle Bus
Satan always comes up unexpectedly, unwelcome, and unannounced to attack us.  Satan entices us like a fisherman dangling a worn on a hook in front of a fish.

Adam and Eve sinned but God didn't kill them; He provided grace.  He wanted to cover their shame and nakedness - both physically and spiritual.

  • April 17 - Saved Alone, Jonah
Feeling alone isn't new for our generation.  There were people in Scripture who felt alone, too.  When God calls us to something we are not alone.  It may feel alone, but God did not leaves us alone.

  • April 13 - Struggle Bus
Often times, because of the way things work in life, we feel "less-than" other people.  Jesus was the best at seeing Himself as "less-than" and a servant to others.  He showed the ultimate humility and act of love by becoming a man so He could die.

  • April 10 - Saved Alone, part 2
"We are saved b faith alone; but the faith that saves is never alone."  Martin Luther

We hear the words that are spoken in the service, and by 2:30 we are out in the world and have forgotten what God has done in our heart.  But because the Holy Spirit lives in us we can't deny the intense longing we have to be free from sin.

He put that groaning inside us as a constant reminder to rely on Him.

  • April 6 - Struggle Bus
We are all struggling.  So why don't we encourage others more, share each others burdens, deal with stuff together, lean on each other more?

Following Jesus and depending on each other is going to be hard, but it's going to be worth it. Don't quit! Never tire of encouraging one another!

  • April 3 - Saved Alone
There are two types of people: the group that wanted Jesus for who He could do for them and then shouted for His crucifixion when the rest of the crowd turned on Him.  And then there was the group that was connected to Jesus and connected to each other.

Jesus commands us to look different and act different. But the honest truth is there are few people who really want to look and act like Jesus.

  • March 30 - Struggle Bus
If Jesus took our sin so seriously, why don't we take our sin as seriously as He did?  We continue to do things we know we shouldn't do because it is expected in our culture.

God loves you even though you rebelled against Him.  And He loves you enough to show you that as well.
