Simple Church

What if "not conforming to the pattern of this world" wasn't only about avoiding sin but serving others?  Once you put yourself last it transforms how you see the world.  It transforms what we do.  When you are at your closest moment with Jesus, see what He is challenging and calling you to do.  Stop listening to yourself and start listening to what God is telling you.  How do you show people you love them?  Serve them.

Re-Gifted - Romans 12:1-8

Do you ever struggle with doubt?  John the Baptist was the greatest misfit of them all.  But, he was also called the greatest born among women.  The religious leaders of that day were more concerned about appearances.  But, Jesus looked at the heart.

Today, I want to do something different.

All Misfits Welcome Here, Part 2 - Matthew 3

Have you ever felt not "good enough"? Have you ever asked, "Why am I in this situation?"  Do you feel like your history is hold you back? Do you wonder if you can ever overcome the past?  You can over come the past because you are not defined by your past!  God has gone before us!  What He wants from you is for you to have a seeking heart, not a perfect life.

Gone B4 - Joshua 2

Jesus came to rescue the misfits.  This gospel was brought to those that don't exactly fit in and are messed up.  All the misfits that don't fit in somewhere else, fit in here.  Our God didn't go to the high priest, religious rulers, or military leaders of the day to announce the birth of the King.  He went to the lowly shepherds.

All Misfits Welcome Here, Part 1 - Luke 2

"God, are you sure you really are calling me to do this?  Are you sure?"

Joshua was preparing to cross the Jordan River.  When we take those single steps of obedience, God strengthens our desire to do what He's called us to do, strengthens our passion, and strengthens our faith to rely on the One that has gone before us.
