  • May 31 - What is Simple Church? Reach
    Reach. Teach. Serve.
What does that even mean?  If you attend Simple Church, what does that mean for you?
Simple Church is not for your fellowship and opportunity to eat donuts.  We have made life into something it was never intended to be - it's not about us.  There are people overwhelmed by life.  Those are the people we want to reach out to and bring in with us.

  • May 24 - Memorial Day
Simple Church enjoyed a message from Ken Nix, Sr.
Service comes in all shapes and sizes, and often times in way that we weren't expecting to be used.  Service starts with unconditional love of people.  Everyone has a story.  And everyone is worth our time.  How will you use your time in service to others?

  • May 17 - The Holy Spirit - Part 6

    Life gets hard.  In

Rome, at the time of the New Testament, you could be killed for following
Jesus.  The Holy Spirit reminds us that
there is a future hope for us.

When you don’t know how to pray, the Holy Spirit prays for

us.  When you can’t remember who you are,
the Holy Spirit reminds us we are His.  When
we can’t remember the scripture we’ve read, the Holy Spirit brings it back to
mind in our time of need.

We are weak and on the verge of death.  And that’s how we approach God.

And read all of Romans 8 for yourself.  It’s life changing.

  • May 10 - The Holy Spirit - Part 5

In God’s creation are both the beautiful park to enjoy and

the sewage treatment plant.  And you have
a choice in which one you will choose to be.
God presents us with a similar choice: walk in the Spirit, or walk
    according to the sinful flesh.

God gives us practical advice on how to live.  Life is hard.

    And follow God.

Living like you're person that knows God is really difficult some days.  It’s simple; but not easy.  Take off the old sinful desires, AND put on

the new.  Live like you know God.

  • April 26 - The Holy Spirit - Part 3
Peter was filled up, fed up, then he stood up.
At the end of your life the only thing that will matter is if you profess Jesus.  It won't matter what your friends or co-workers think about you; only Jesus.
The Fruits of the Spirit have things to teach us about ourselves, how we should behave toward others, and how we actually do it.
The first step toward following Jesus is alway the hardest.  Today, say YES to Jesus, and then do what He says.

  • May 3 - The Holy Spirit, Part 4
"I can't tell people to follow the Holy Spirit if I won't in this morning's service."
Sometimes we have a tendency to hold back.  Don't hold back today.  Give your life to following the leading of the Holy Spirit.

  • April 19 - The Holy Spirit - Part 2

There was only one reason the man who had once denied he even knew Jesus was now shouting the gospel message to thousands of people - the power of the Holy Spirit.

There is no other name by which we are save - only Jesus.

It's time for you to stand up.

  • April 12 - The Holy Spirit

We talk about the Holy Spirit a whole lot.  We talk about baptizing in the name of the

Holy Spirit, how the Holy Spirit is moving in this place, and how the Holy
Spirit is stirring people’s hearts and the power of the Holy Spirit.

But Who is the Holy Spirit?

What is His purpose? What does He do through us?

When the Holy Spirit tells you to do something you don’t

have to worry. Christian, you have the supernatural power of God living inside
    you.

  • Easter – The Victory – 10:30 A.M.

Once Jesus wrecks your life, and puts it back together

again, you are able to clearly see what He has been doing FOR you.

Three days after Jesus died the women went to the tomb to

take care of His body because they simply wanted to be near their loved
one.  But He wasn’t there.  He was still King!  And whether or not you call Him King doesn’t
    change His authority.

Immediately after His return, there was work to be done.

  • The Penalty - Easter - 8:30 A.M.
Who do you say that Jesus is?

Every person in the Easter story has a different interaction

with Jesus.  You are either indifferent
to Him, threatened by Him, or you realize that He is King.

Pilate thought he was in control of the situation

surrounding Jesus.  To pacify the crowd
he handed Jesus over to be crucified.
    But, control was an illusion.
Jesus went to the cross on His own; He didn’t need the people shouting, “Crucify
    him!”

It is incomprehensible that a King would die for His

servants.  Yet, that is exactly what
    Jesus did.
