The Sustainable Hour

Simple solutions to a greener New Year

Listen Later

Guests in The Sustainable Hour on 12 December 2018 are Meg Blair from Transition Streets East Geelong and Nicole Urbanski from Urban Upcycle who covered some of the small changes YOU can make.
Christmas can be a manic time, but as we come to the festive season you can take onboard some of the advice. If it’s too late for this year, pause and think for next year about how you can remove the physical wastage but also that mental anguish. Sustain your health, your wallet and precious resources.
Reach out to your community and learn to trust.

“Transition Streets is assisting neighbours make small changes and provides connections to ways to live more sustainable in each household. To raise awareness as you go through your day of changes you can make…”

~ Megan Blair, Transition Street East Geelong

“We need to live more sustainably. We have just appeared at the right time, and people are really growing to love it, and it’s been great. I love it. I don’t consider it to be work. People are saying to me, ‘When do you have to work next?’, and I say, ‘You know what, I don’t work, I just do what I love to do and it is almost like a hobby’…”
