The holiday that seems to get put on the back burner the most happens this month - THANKSGIVING! Pierce, Ryan and Micah decided to take a look at thankfulness through the lens of Colossians 3 and discuss the truth that those of us who have faith in Christ can always be thankful to him no matter our circumstances.
Join Ryan, Micah, and Pierce as they talk about core elements of Paul's letter to the Galatians - flesh and Spirit. Striving to make the language and topic simpler, this discussion illuminates a clear intention and direction of Paul that seems to contradict many of the teachings in today's Christian culture.

In today's day and age it's easy to get swept up in action and because of that it's also really easy to become self-dependent for everything. This is actually in opposition to the life Christ has called us to... but how and when do we just stop? Is all action bad? In this episode we discuss a simpler view of resting in God, resting in Jesus, taking a breath and truly getting rest.

All three of us, and probably you too, know Christians who are just plain miserable and seem to do everything in their power to find no enjoyment in their life while also dampening the mood of everyone around them...Do we as followers of Jesus need to create and maintain a standard of what we can and can't enjoy? Pierce, Ryan, and Micah strive to make enjoyment simpler in this SECOND episode in September

As Christians we are often told that if we're not happy and stress-free all of the time then we're not living out our beliefs...which doesn't exactly line up with the Bible. On this FIRST OF TWO EPISODES IN SEPTEMBER, Pierce, Ryan and Micah present a simpler view of true joy and discuss how it truly is rooted in knowing God.

From cultural biases to preconceived notions, there's a ton that we bring to the table when we approach the Word of God that may lead us to misunderstand the correct context of the scripture and subsequently how we apply it to our understanding of God and our lives. In this episode of Simpler we discuss a (you guessed it) simpler way to approach the Bible which leads to better, selfless clarity that positions God in His proper place.

We live in a culture that has given us loads of definitions for "Gospel" and within those are even more interpretations of the person and work of Jesus Christ. This month on Simpler, we strive to define the Gospel from a biblical perspective, walk through the promises of God leading to Christ as well as who Christ is himself, and show how much a simpler, true, and honest view of the Gospel can radically shape our lives.

It seems like there has always been some sort of division in the church - Paul proclaims to the Galatians that there is "neither Jew nor Greek," and to the Ephesians that Christ has destroyed the hostile wall that divides them by making the two men (Jews and Gentiles) into one and today we see similar divides concerning race, denomination, social status, etc. In this episode of Simpler, we discuss the importance and weight of who we are in Christ and how that fact unifies us and defines us more clearly than anything else.
Marriage is something we tend to over complicate and it's so easy when everyone has their own definition of what a "good" marriage is and endless advice or one liners to say to you. That, combined with our own preconceived notions, leads to us usually drowning in inconsistent standards that were never supposed to be there at all. Join us as we discuss God's intention for marriage and how Christ can be at the center of yours - how much simpler is that?
