  • Summer Break {22}

    👇In this episode, we’re diving into summer break!
    In the first part, we’ll explore the history of this long vacation and how different countries approach it in very different ways.

    In the second part, we’ll talk to Karen Gadasi Russo. Karen is actually my aunt. She lives in Kibbutz Ginosar near the Sea of Galilee — but more importantly, she’s a mom to three teenage boys, which means she knows summer break very well. Karen will share some personal stories from her family’s summer vacation and offer great tips — like how to save money during the break, what to do especially with older kids, and much more!

    Ah, and she’ll also answer the interesting question of why Israelis prefer to fly abroad in the summer instead of taking a vacation at a hotel in Israel — do you know the answer?So tune in — this is going to be a hot and super interesting episode!

  • Israel and Iran {21}

    👇 You might be surprised to hear this, but once upon a time, Israel and Iran were actually good friends. Yes, really — there was even a direct flight from Israel to Iran at least once a day. But then something changed, and since then, the relationship between the two countries has only become more and more extreme.

    In this episode, we’ll talk about the complex relationship between Israel and Iran — the strong connection at the beginning, the Islamic Revolution, and how the two countries ended up in a state of direct conflict. It’s a slightly long episode, but definitely worth listening to!

  • Living Between Catalan and Spanish {20}

    👇 In this episode, I talk with my good friend Gil, who lives in Catalonia like I do. We talk about what it’s like to live in a place where people speak both Catalan and Spanish — and how we both struggled with that at first.
    Gil also shares his personal way of learning the languages (spoiler: he never even sat in a classroom!).
    A fun and honest conversation about languages, life in Catalonia, and what Hebrew learners might take from it too.

  • News in Hebrew [19]

    👇 In this episode, we’ll talk about three interesting stories from the past few weeks: two from around the world and one from Israel. We’ll start with a bizarre incident in Norway, where a couple woke up one morning to find a massive cargo ship parked right in front of their bedroom window. Then we’ll head to a remote monastery in Greece, where a violent clash between two groups of monks has reignited an old controversy. Finally, we’ll explore Tel Aviv’s nightlife—or rather, its new "evening life" trend—with an initiative that’s moving parties to saner hours. Don’t miss it!
