Proverbs 10: 19-20We all know that person who is just a little too wordy in their conversations. Maybe it's a minister, friend, parent or colleague, but they all have one thing in common: the more words you speak the more likely you are to make a mistake. We already know the tongue can get us in a lot of trouble, so why give it so many chances? Look at the sermon's Jesus preached for example: short, sweet and very effective. Let's consider how many words we use in today's episode!

No specific scripture this morning, but we do discuss a topic I've been thinking about for several years. People say we should be out in the world with sinners because Jesus walked and dined with sinners on a regular basis. Other people believe we should insulate ourselves from the world because we are told to be in the world but not of the world, and that's how we protect ourselves from sin. But both of these standpoints are lacking, and trust me on that front; I lived both of those outlooks for several years each. I believe through study I have found a better way of thinking; one that uses both sides of that coin just like Jesus displayed.

John 13: 1-5Jesus loves you. never forget that. But Jesus also loved the people he went through this life with, and there is a lesson in that we can benefit from. Today we discuss a passage which previously had slipped my notice, but shows a powerful example of love. Call to action: Love others today. Go above and beyond to show them love and serve others.

James 1: 25Don't be hearers of the word, but effectual doers. We may have heard this before, but what on earth does it mean? Today we break down a passage from one of my favorite books of the Bible concerning hearing vs. doing.

As I studied for today's podcast, I wanted to discuss a topic relevant to remembering this infamous day, and I stumbled upon today's verse. Take some extra time today to spend in prayer and remember the sacrifices of all the brave people who stood in the face of evil, and also remember our Lord and savior who stared down death for our sake. Hug your loved ones, and tell them you love them.

Matthew 14I know I've had bad days before and I know I haven't handled them right. But the story told in Matthew chapter 14 is the perfect way for us to handle our bad days in the future and it all centers around an example Jesus set for us there.
