Members Reviews:
This is a fun book of things all colors of the rainbow young children can discover in Israel ...
In Israel there are a rainbow of colors to be seen. Is your favorite color red? You can see red (a-dom ) in that âdouble-decker train in Akko,â a stop light, and in a van. If you like orange, thereâs orange, orange, orange all over the place. You can see orange (ka-tom ) umbrellas at the beach and bags of oranges at the Jaffa market. Perhaps you like other bright colors like yellow, green, or blue. They can be seen all over the country. Can you think of other colors you might like that arenât quite as rainbow bright as these are?
Perhaps you find that gray (a-for ) is a color that you really love. Can you see the âpigeons on the sand in Tel Aviv?â In Jerusalem you might spot a gray trash can or a bench thatâs perfect to sit on. When you travel through these pages you will see a rainbow of colors, bright and dark, in many things in Israel. You can find red, orange, yellow, green, blue, gray, brown, black, white, and even pink! Can you think of something that might be pink? Thatâs probably hard, but no doubt you can think of many things that would be green or blue.
This is a fun book of things all colors of the rainbow young children can discover in Israel. The book is a bright, eye-popping one filled with colorful photographs of colorful things that can be found in Israel. Each color is first printed in large bold letters in English. Beneath the color thereâs the word (in phonetically represented Hebrew) followed by its Israeli (Modern) Hebrew transliteration. This is definitely a wonderful book to introduce not only colors, but also Hebrew as well as a nice glimpse of Israel. Itâs certainly a book that little children will enjoy turning the pages, exploring, and learning from.
