The reading level in this book is perfect for my advanced 8 year old

The reading level in this book is perfect for my advanced 8 year old. I do feel that my daughter was is not yet ready for the story line in this book. The topic is a little too mature for her. I do love that these books work well for a Christian audience. My daughter finished all of the Morgan Love series so I wanted her to start reading these next. I'm going to save them until she is about 11 or 12. Overall, I love this author and her work.

Awesome for African American youth.

I brought this book for my sister who is a teacher in a low income area and she was also reading these books when she was younger and really wanted books her girls could relate to. Awesome books the students are waiting in line to read them.

Refreshing!

I bought the whole series for my little cousin as a gift and she loved them.. She's an avid reader so she breezed right through them. I think I 'll have her pass it on to me Lol. I hope the series continues!

Lessons Learned.....

My granddaughter is enjoying this series and lets me know the lesson she learned from it. Will be getting the next series when she reaches that age level.

It was amazing and it showed so much power in its words that you just had to feel the little love and joy in your heart.

My daughter loved this book

My daughter loves the Carmen series. The books are very quick reads and very educational. I also like that the author adds Carmens faith in God into the book. There aren't many books in the market like this so I am so glad I was able to find this series for her.

Extremely Educational and Inspirational

I was the narrator for this book and found it quite surprising. It was one of the most well written and enlightening books I have narrated. It is written for a younger audience but as a 44 year old mom, I learned quite a lot and will require my sons to listen! I can't, obviously, comment on the narration but the content of the book makes it well worth the $18!

a mediocre book

Although my children enjoyed this book, I found it very mediocre. Not horrible, just bland and a little lackluster. there wasn't a lot of tension in the story. But perhaps we're just spoiled, having listened to so many other truly wonderful children's book from audible.

Good. Not exceptional

Vlad the Drac is a reasonably good story about a vampire who comes to live with some children. It is probably a bit dated (the children go to boarding school and the "scrapes" aren't very dreadful), however, the narration (by C3P0) is very good.

My 6 year old son really enjoyed it and we were happy enough to listen to it although it didn't have us howling with laughter like some of the other books we've listened to.
