Set in the last two days of 1999, the film takes place in a world where memories can be sold on the black market. However, when a memory dealer wants to find out what happened to one of the girls in a series of memories, he unravels a sinister plot.

Directed by Kathryn Bigelow (Point Break, The Hurt Locker), and written by James Cameron (Avatar, Terminator), this movie explores many of the ideas that have been revitalized with the release of Ready Player Two.

Tonight we enter the original Tron from 1982. Tron follows a computer programmer who is transported inside the software world of a mainframe computer where he interacts with programs in his attempt to escape.

Joining us again is founding member of the Council of the Wise, Joey Bonier.

Back in 1982, David Cronenberg was still a fledging director in Toronto Canada. Then he made Videodrome and everything changed.

Videodrome follows the president of a trashy TV channel, Max Renn (James Woods) who is desperate for new programming to attract viewers. When he happens upon "Videodrome," a TV show dedicated to even trashier TV than he could've imagined, Max sees a potential hit and broadcasts the show on his channel. However, after his girlfriend (Deborah Harry) auditions and never returns, Max investigates the truth behind Videodrome and discovers that reality may not be what it seems.

Nationites! Today we revisit Ghost In The Shell. No, we’re not talking about that crappy live-action remake, we’re talking about the OG Ghost in the Shell, circa 1995. This cyberpunk classic is set in a near future when the line between humans and robots is blurring. The plot follows the Major (Johansson), a cyborg supersoldier who investigates her past, and unravels a deeper conspiracy.

We’ll talk about its long legacy, see if it holds up, and give it our Wow! score.

Ready Player One takes place in 2045, when much of humanity uses the virtual reality software OASIS to escape the desolation of the real world. Orphaned teenager Wade Watts finds clues to a hidden game that promises OASIS's ownership to the winner, and he and four allies try to complete it before a corporation can do so.
