We are back from a brief hiatus last month to catch up about our lives, the state of the country, and sinkholes... because why not? Catryn has randomly jumped back into the real estate market, just celebrated her baby becoming a toddler, and is trying not to spiral about politics (what else is new), and Mary is planning her bachelorette trip, has survived her eyes filling with blood, and has (potentially) found religion again thanks to White Lotus. There's a lot to unpack in this episode.

As millennial women, the question of whether or not to get work done has been a topic of discussion for most of our lives. Minor adjustments, such as filler and Botox, are no longer the splurge they once were. And more dramatic alterations are becoming more common place and normalized than ever before thanks to the influx of celebrities and influencers sharing their experiences under the knife. The desire to look your best and feel comfortable in your own skin can push many people to seek out the the latest and greatest that the plastic surgery industry has to offer, but when it comes to altering your appearance... is the grass always greener?

Black people have had a hand in creating everything in our country: the infostructure, the buildings, the music, the art, the dance moves, the slang, the beauty standards, the food, and, let's face it, the wealth. And yet, time and time again, white people have taken what they've wanted and left the creators behind. In the wake of Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show, we wanted to chat about the role that black culture has played in our society and the credit that has been due to black creators and the black experience.

Coming in hot with a taboo topic for our fourth episode (that is, according to our 13 year old selves). Growing up in the bible belt in the 90's brought with it a whole lot of bizarre ideas about relationships, sex, sexual health, and purity. We're covering how we were brought up, how we feel about things now as adults, and the big impacts purity culture had on society along the way.

Misogyny is, unfortunately, incredibly normalized in our society, telling girls and women alike that being overly feminine is a negative thing. Today we are talking about our own internalized misogyny that we have been actively breaking down in our adulthood and how we are embracing the power that comes with being a woman.

The debate on whether or not to have kids in today's society is one that many women are facing. From one friend who is childless by choice, and another friend who is just recently entering into motherhood, we are sitting down to talk about what it means to be a parent and why a lot of our population is opting out of the "traditional" family unit.
