Hi loves, I thought it'd be fun to chat about something I definitely have dealt with: fear of starting something new.
I also share some musical theatre cast recordings for anyone wanting to start singing in the musical theatre genre! If you don't know where to start, listen in!

Hi loves, this week's episode is for anyone who's ever felt uninspired or unmotivated to sing...especially if you identify as a "singer" - whether professionally, as a hobbyist, etc. I've definitely experienced that but here are some things to consider when you have those moments of not feeling up to singing or doing anything musical. I hope this helps!!

Today, I'm chatting about that fact that we are not alone as creatives and artists! I share what I'm learning in the season about saying yes to the right things and no to the "not right now things" to avoid overwhelm, as well as remembering to lean on other people and ask for help instead of going it alone. I also answer a question about learning and memorizing lines as an actor from a fellow actor/singer/dancer in the Performing Arts Community FB group! Listen in!

I had the immense pleasure of speaking with John Henny, voice teacher, founder of John Henny Vocal Studio, and host of the Intelligent Vocalist Podcast. He has taught vocalists who have gone on to perform on TV shows like Glee and Broadway tours like Jersey Boys, or simply sing their favorite songs. John is passionate about helping people express themselves through singing, bridge the gap between the functionality and beauty of the voice, and getting the world to start singing!
He shares about:
1. his story of giving up the thought of ever singing - and what happened next!
2. why everyone can learn to sing - and should!
3. small things you can do to start singing today!
4. not letting shame of not sounding a certain way keep you from singing
5. listening to the inner voice telling you to sing
As always, thank you for being here!
Keep creating 💜

Today I'm chatting with Shirlene Quigley, dancer and choreographer who made her professional dance debut in Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" video and went on to work with artists like Rihanna, Missy Elliot, Lizzo, and more!
She mentors aspiring performers and teaches dance workshops around the world, but ultimately has a heart for letting God use her to make an impact in and through dance - and helping others pursue their dance dreams too.
She shares about:
1. going from not being a great dancer to deciding to dance professionally
2. being a Christian in the entertainment industry
3. sticking to her values in spite of pressure
4. facing and overcoming rejection
5. loving others well as a Christian dancer
6. what it takes to start pursuing your creative goals and dreams & more!

PODCAST RETURNING SEPTEMBER 2026!
Hi performers! Welcome to the Sing Confidently, Live Creatively podcast, a show for professional and pre-professional performing artists who want to build confidence in their singing!
Are you intentionally pursuing a professional career as a musical theatre actor but your voice is not as powerful or reliable as you'd like?
Do you want to feel confident in your voice at auditions or on-stage, but don’t know how to develop your vocal technique?
Do you wish you could learn how to belt, mix, improve your vocal range, or sing riffs, but you don't know where to start?
I get it! Hi, I’m Estelle, a Professional Singer, Actor, and Voice Teacher in my online studio, Creatively Performing Arts. I also teach and music direct locally in North Carolina at various music studios and theaters!
I grew up performing, but everyone kept telling me to save the arts for retirement or the weekends. So after college, I went to medical school, thinking that was the safest path. But I realized I had those creative passions for a reason and couldn't stay in a career that hid my gifts. So, I decided to leave. Dramatic, I know, but I'm in theatre after all!
After I left medical school, I started a Masters in Music and Music Education at Columbia University (hybrid) and developed my voice intentionally while helping other singers along the way. I began to build confidence in my dreams and my voice beyond what I'd ever known!
I want to help you do the same - build confidence in your singing voice so you can live your creative dreams!
On this show, you will learn how to sing with more confidence, how to train your voice consistently, how to prepare your songs for auditions, how to belt, how to develop mix technique, how to breathe properly as a singer, and more!
You’ll get mindset tips to help you take action on your creative gifts in spite of imposter syndrome, self-doubt, rejection, and fear of what people think.
With incredible guests, from Broadway performers to a Latin Grammy award winner, to local theatre and music artists, and my own current and past experiences, this will be your one-stop shop for all things singing, performing, and creative inspiration! Plus, you’ll hear lots of fun musical theatre references!
Alright choir lovers and theatre-kids-turned-theatre-adults, this is your time.
Start singing with CONFIDENCE today!
