Neil Diamond is one of those rare singers that has Staying Power. Garth Brooks once said in an interview that a true test of an artist is how long they will last.
Another rare trait that never ceases to amaze me is Neil's ability to truly connect with his audience. His magnetism shines when you see that he is not just singing to the fans. He is connecting with them and by his shear exuberance shows how much he enjoys doing the show just for them.
He was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame which is long overdue. Along with his induction his songs like "Sweet Caroline," "Cracklin' Rosie." "Forever in Blue Jeans," and many others will live on for a long, long time to come.

Kellie Pickler has come a long way since being a contestant on the fifth season of American Idol. With songwriter awards for "Red High Heels," Songwriter and Breakthrough Video for "I Wonder," and Songwriter for "Best Days of Your Life" she's a singer whose star is rising.
She talks honestly about her parents by letting us know that her father was a drug addict and alcoholic and her mother's writing bad checks and forged prescriptions for drugs.
On a more positive note she tells of her love for her grandparents who got custody of her and brought her up. She wrote a song about her relationship with her grandmother called "My Angel." It is without a doubt one of my personal favorites.
She has a heart of gold in that she forgives her mother even though Kellie was not treated well by her and does much work for our military doing shows overseas for the USO.
One cannot help but be enriched by this dear lady who is refreshingly honest and caring.

This is the story of Taylor Swift and Beyonce Knowles who handled themselves admirably during an unpleasant incident at the MTV awards show in 2009.
Taylor Swift had won the Best Female Video award at the MTV awards show and came to the stage to accept it. When she started to give her acceptance speech Kanye West rushed onto the stage, grabbed the mic. from her hand, and stated that the award should have gone to Beyonce for her "Single Ladies" video.
Both Taylor and Beyonce showed what poise and character are all about by staying above the fray and made most of us realize how proud we should be for the way they handled the situation.

This is about FATE and the roll that it plays in the success of singers and songwriters. It's the story of a stuggling songwriter who while working as a janitor would not give up on pitching his music to singers in the hope that it would get recorded. It was Kris Kristofersson's persistence that paid off in trying to get one of his songs to Johnny Cash.
Kris tried several times to get a composition to Johnny without success and finally out of frustration took an unusual step. The story infolves a helicopter and a bold move to get his music recorded.
His hits like "For the Good Times, Me and Bobby McGee, Help Me Make it Through the Night, and Why me" along with so many other great songs of his will live on for many years to come.

Rarely do we see a performer that has raw talent because this type of talent is so powerful that its magnetism draws you in to an unforgettable experience.
Susan Boyle was a contestant on a show called Britain's Got Talent. Before she sang Simon Cowell asked her some questions. Because she was middle aged, plainly dressed, and said she would like to emulate Elaine Page, it was evident by some of the judges' and audience members' facial expressions they had formed an opinion that she would fail her audition.
The song Susan had chosen to sing was 'I Dreamed a Dream' from Les Miserables. Everything changed during the first 15 seconds of her singing the song because Raw Talent took over. Susan was excellent, as a matter of fact, beyond excellent. The audience members' and judges' faces were in awe. The audience was on their feet several times cheering wildly as she sang. Each of the judges - Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden had nothing but praise for that magical voice that Susan has.
