Sinsomnia

Kristen and Sammy have a dialogue about their favorite dreams from the week, their problems around intimacy/vulnerability, and if having dreams about skiing actually makes you an extreme sports enthusiast.

Sammy and Kristen return to Sinsomnia in a spontaneous format to talk about dreams and the personality. The hosts reflect on recent dreams that comment on their life experiences and express the profound sense of mystery and awe that are embedded in the mechanism of dreaming itself. They discuss earthly concerns such as the debts we owe others, meeting our rage, managing comfort levels, and using the enneagram as a defense against life. They also question the spiritual realms where things such as the astral body, dream environments, memory, and multiple realities exist.

Kristen and Sammy finish up their series on the Major Arcana with the tarot cards 10 and 20 - the Wheel of Fortune and Judgment. They reflect on how impersonal and esoteric these cards are, bringing their own dreams and experiences while having the two cards underneath their pillows every night for a few weeks.

Sammy and Kristen begin the new year with the second to last Tarot episode on The Hermit and The Sun. The hosts have brought notes, dreams, and experiences with the possible meanings and images of these two cards. They reflect on The Hermit being the ultimate Type 9 card, and The Sun containing a childlike wonder that's needed in consciousness.

On this week's Tarot episode, Kristen gets especially excited with Sammy when talking about these two cards - Strength and The Moon. The hosts discuss the theme of 'instincts' imbedded in the cards and how their own experiences, notes, and dreams have informed their understanding of the energies these cards activate.

The next two cards in this continuous Tarot series are The Chariot and The Star. Sammy and Kristen are on a mission to give some life to the Major Arcana by relating to the images, digging up notes, and discussing dreams that may have these energies stored within them.

Sammy and Kristen continue their series on the Major Arcana to talk about The Lovers and The Tower. Tarot cards 6 and 16 start to paint an interesting picture about choices, values, letting go, and not being able to carry on as before...

Sammy and Kristen return after a long break to continue their series on the Major Arcana of the Tarot deck. This episode they look at the similarities and differences of The Hierophant and The Devil cards, using personal notes, experiences, and dreams to understand what these archetypal images might be revealing to humans.

Kristen and Sammy discuss the Tarot cards of The Emperor and Temperance, continuing their transformative and exploratory journey through the major arcana. This week's episode is focused around boundaries, unconscious written laws, having a guardian angel, and centering the swinging pendulum. The girls bring in their first impressions, external resources, personal experiences, and dreams that helped them hold a complex and deep view of these two cards.

Discussing the next pair of cards in the Tarot turned into a strange weather pattern of emotions for the two hosts Sammy and Kristen. The Empress and Death takes them on a tour through abundant, sunny, embodied life and the cold, harsh winter of death. This episode speaks for itself; the task of risking the safety of performing to really live the dirty, grounded, imperfect life before we die.
