Sipping on Some Crime

Cecil Wells a wealthy businessman married to the picture-perfect blonde bombshell  would be murdered in his bed and his wife would be severely beaten in an attempted home burglary that went wrong. At least that is what the papers reported on the morning of October 17th, 1953 when officers arrived at the scene. Just a few days into the investigation police went from looking for two unknown men to taking a deeper look at Diane, Cecil's wife, and her rumored affair with a jazz drummer from the local country club.

Brandy Myers was a thirteen-year-old girl who had her whole life in front of her. It was May 26th, 1992 and Brandy was going to go door to door to collect signatures for a book-a-thon sponsored by her school when she vanished. The search for Brandy would go from weeks to years to decades and then one day investigators would tell Brandy’s sister Kristin that Brandy had been murdered and they knew who was responsible but that they would not be pursuing charges against him. Kristin has continued to pushback demanding justice for Brandy and for her day in court.

Please consider donating to Kristin’s gofundme to get her to Arizona to attend the trial. She’s hoping for a chance to get a victim impact statement and at the very least be able to look the man accused of killing Brandy in the eyes

Debahni 18 would go out with friends for a night of partying. When she is not home the next morning her parents call the police to report her missing. While the police began a massive search for Debahni her mother receives a haunting picture of Debahni from a friend that was with her the night before sent to her by the taxi driver that picked Debahni up at the last party. This eerie photo would go viral and would become the face of a movement in Mexico for women all across the country fighting against the rising out-of-control cases of femicide. What happened in the hours of Debahni’s disappearance and the discovery of her remains has been shrouded in mystery and mistrust with not only Debhani’s family questioning the investigation but the women of Mexico who are demanding answers for all the women of Mexico that have been murdred or have vanished.

December 10, 1973 the small town of Cortland Ohio, a town at the time that had one police officer would have their sense of community security shattered when someone killed well-known residents  Hermer 70 and Edna 57. There were lots of witnesses and leads in the very beginning but 49 years later this case still remains unsolved.
