On today's episode, the sisters have one of their very favourite people, Gareth, from The Fabric of Being. Together, Gareth and his wife Shannon created The Fabric of Being as a representation of their spiritual beliefs and understanding of the totality of existence and as a way to share their unique gifts of intuition and mediumship with others.
From a tender age, Gareth has had a deep affinity with the fabric of being and the natural tendency to experiencing the spiritual planes of consciousness that we unfold from. While initially expressing these experiences with exuberance, the choice was made to keep them intimately private, having received responses of misunderstanding, derision, and gentle concern. The standard path of work, nightlight and the regularity of day-to-day living and socializing saw Gareth leave those experiences and his connection to the deeper aspects of himself behind.
It wasn't until an unfortunately series of events that induced deep suffering that Gareth was brought to the gates of a path that would span the majority of his life and lead him on the journey back to the fabric of his being. Disgruntled with daily life and the shallowness of its offerings, he set off to travel across the world. Europe, The United States, Australia, and New Zealand, where he synchronistically met his wife, Shannon. It was in New Zealand where Gareth had the fortunate and timely experience of meeting someone who is fully consciously living the fabric of their being.
Jogging one day through the streets of Wanaka, he came to a road in the country that seemed to be a dead end, leading only to the foothills of close by ranges. The thought came to run to the hills and back again, half way down the trail, he came across a house that had a sign in the front garden that simply read, 'Namaste.'
It was here where he met Terry Drayton, who guided Gareth to the direct conscious experience of complete oneness with existence. It was later that evening, upon describing the continued experience of oneness to a friend and colleague that the initial see of the fabric of being was planted, which is the step-by-step process of reuniting our awareness with the direst experience of our being, which is one with the totality of existence.
