Mark Seekins Exodus 12:1-50; John 1:29
1. Can you share an example of a time you needed to be “rescued”? What were the circumstances? Who rescued you?
2. Are you prepared for what God wants to do in your life? What can you do to get ready?
3. Ok…be honest. When do you typically worship God: before or after he works? What about Sunday; is it the last day of the week for you, or the first? What would you have to change to adjust your worship response to worship God before…instead of just after?
4. What are some “temporary” rescues that we often look to; the things that are good, but ultimately don’t truly rescue us.
5. What would it look like for you to become “captive” to the Savior? How can you celebrate what he’s done, anticipate what he is going to do, and ultimately trust in him to do it!?
6. Re-read Exodus 12:1-28 and as you do, put yourself in the place of the Israelites. Feel their anguish and desperation for a rescue. When you finish, spend some time in prayer thankful for Jesus’ substitutionary sacrifice for you.
