   Command Sergeant Major Cynthia A. Pritchett served as the Combined Forces Command
Afghanistan Command Sergeant Major beginning on 9 May 2004 and relinquished her duties on 5 April 2006.

   She is the first senior enlisted female to serve as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader of
a sub-unified combatant command in a time of war.  From 9 May 2004 until 5 April 2006, Command Sergeant Major Pritchett was the principle advisor to the Commander, Combined Forces-Afghanistan on all matters concerning joint /combined forces.

   A native of Concord, New Hampshire, CSM Pritchett entered the Army on 2 July 1973 as a supply  specialist. During her career she has served in a variety of leadership positions to include: Squad  Leader, Section Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Operations Sergeant, First Sergeant, Battalion Command Sergeant Major, Installation Command Sergeant Major, Student and Faculty Battalion  Commander and Combined Arms Center and Ft. Leavenworth Command Sergeant Major.
   
   She also served as a Drill Sergeant, an Army Recruiter, and an Instructor at the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy (USASMA)

   CSM Pritchett is a member of the U.S. Army Europe Sergeant Morales Club, the Secretary of the Army's Task Force on Extremist Activities, and Senior Review Panel on
Sexual Harassment. She served as the Army's Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services (DACOWITS) from 1995-2001.

   In March 2009,  CSM Pritchett was inducted into the Army Women's Foundation Hall of Fame; as a multifunctional logistician. In 2014, CSM Pritchett was inducted into the Quartermaster Hall of  Fame. The Quartermaster Hall of Fame program recognizes retired military and civilians who have made lasting, significant contributions to the Quartermaster Corps. 

   In November 2013, she was honored by Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship (V-WISE) program's "FIRST" initiative. This program is designed to recognize significant FIRSTs for women both in the military and from across society. Representing FIRST achievements themselves  - being honored with the V-WISE First 


   She is currently on the Board of Directors of the Army Women's Foundation as the first Vice
President; the foundation is the premier center for educational excellence, the national network for today's Army women and a dynamic advocate for telling the history of Army women. 

   She is a member of the Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship (V-WISE) Advisory Council.   She served on the Board of Directors of The Women in Military Service for America Memorial (WIMSA). Memorial (WIMSA).

Sarah grew up the daughter of an Army Chaplain and joined the Army in 2007.  She served six years as a Blackhawk helicopter mechanic and crew chief. 

  She deployed in support of OIF and OEF and married another Blackhawk mechanic in 2010.  She started writing military children's stories in 2020 after recognizing the urgent need for stories that military children and families could authentically relate to. 

Her goal as an author is to create stories that inspire warmth, joy and understanding for military children. Her book The Peppered Sky is inspired by her own memories of her time as a military child and her own service in the Army.

 Rose Mcfadden is an army veteran and and the first female to serve in her family.  She comes from a long line of veterans dating back to WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, and Desert Shield/Desert Storm.  She is the recipient of the Purple heart along with many of her grandfathers from her family. 

 After suffering injuries during back to back deployments, she left the military and received her bachelors degree in business and her masters degree in business administration.

Rose along with her husband operate the company Peterhunt Recruiting and Isabella Rosa Designs .  As if that's a lot, she also has a non-profit call We Luv San Diego where she and her husband assist famines with food and diapers and house hold supples.  The served over 908 families in 9 months.

 She is the Vice President of the Native American Women Warriors  (NAWW) organization which recognizes Native American women from all tribes that served or are serving  in the military.

D. Rainya P. Miller - The managing partner and founder of the Consortium of

Zanetta Bryant - Affectionately called ‘Z’ by her clients, Zanetta is an USMC Veteran and Family Nurse Practitioner. She is the Founder of Redefine by Z and a Certified Cosmetic Injector. After leaving service in 2007, Zanetta pursued schooling and a career in nursing. She is a graduate of Georgia College and State University with a Master's of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner.  After several years of primary care, hospital medicine, and a specialty in neurology, Zanetta decided to explore entrepreneurship.  She is excited to offer her clientele cosmetic injectables, medical weight loss management, and coaching services, just to name a few. She is passionate about helping others become better versions of themselves, boosting their self-image and confidence. Zanetta loves using her creative eye to customize each client’s experience.

Nadean Carson - Nadean is a self-professed stormwater nerd. She started working with stormwater compliance in the Air Force and quickly realized how important stormwater pollution prevention was to the ecosystem. During her military career, she focused on construction and other civil engineering operations duties. When she separated from the military, she initially worked as a Geotechnical Engineer (that is a fancy way of saying that she worked in dirt) but found her way back to her true love of stormwater management in 2014. She created a Stormwater Management division at a local engineering firm, focused on helping clients manage the stormwater regulations that affect their development, as well as ensure that the sites are limiting their contribution to Stormwater Pollution. She saw another stormwater need developing and decided to tackle it next. She started up Oya Construction as a way to properly install and maintain stormwater controls on construction sites, reducing the sediment deposition into waterways. She is passionate about keeping waterways clean and our environment beautiful.

In this episode I was delighted to speak with Michelle about all the different complexities of being a military family with a special needs children.   We discussed PCS-ing, medical, schools and advocating for your child for the requirements needed so your child can be and feel safe in that environment, self-care for the parent(s) and what is still needed to move forward for all children in the military system, and how she was a critical component to the Promise Act (Protection of Military Children in Special Educations) passed.
