Episode 230 - Sith Taker Open 2022

It's a busy session all about the 2022 Sith Taker Open! Rich, Ben, Liam and Tim are joined by the Event Champion Matija Mandurov!!

We chat to Matija, Ben and Liam about their games, for Matija and Liam it was their run into Top cut but for Ben we talk about the day 2 ROAD side event. 116 players started Swiss for the main event and the side event had around 80 players!

Rich and Tim chat about the event admin and organisation and of course all the many thankyou's we have to those who supported the event, worked at the event and of course all the players for being awesome!

Episode 229 - Paying the Beskar Price

Rich is joined by Ben, Liam and special guest Louis Leong for a bumper yet concise episode on Organised Play!

First up we talk about Louis' Mandalorian inspired Organised Play kits he's created to help Tournament Organisers and Store Owners with a one-stop-kit for events whilst we await the return of official OP kits! Beskar ingot charge tokens, coins and alt-art cards! It all looks cool and we have some bits to give away this weekend!

Episode 227 - Fund Raising For Phoebe

This week Rich, Ben and Liam are joined by a very special guest, former Director of Organised Play at FFG and all round great guy - Alex Watkins!

Alex is on primarily to talk to us about the raffle he's running to raise funds to support Phoebe, a daughter of a friend, who has kidney failure due to Anchor Positive Vasculitis - an extremely rare condition.

But we couldn't pass on the opportunity to talk to Alex about all sorts! We chat about how he got in to gaming, how did he get in to OP at FFG, what was it like running some of the biggest miniature game's tournaments in the world plus some of the behind the scenes that I know a lot of us will be interested to know more about!

We round out the show with some chat about the Sith Taker Open where Alex will be in attendance to do the draw live on the Firecast Focus who will be at the venue streaming the X-wing action live!

A community created project to produce a central resource portal for X-Wing, Legion, Armada players and event organizers all over the world!

The portal will offer store/club/player locator, event calendar, sanctioned tournaments (for relevant circuits), international player rankings and excerpts of meta analysis via the integration of existing tools. As well as providing a single place for players of all standards, ability and experience to find content creators (podcasts! streams, blogs, websites etc)
