  • How Are We Still Here?

The revs entered Saturday night's match with Real Salt Lake in what Birthday Boy Bruce Arena called, "a must win game" situation for the boys in blue. After the final whistle in Foxborough however, fans left the stadium witnessing a nil-nil draw. This week, we break it down with Julian Cardillo, of Pro Soccer USA and see what it takes for The Revs to get back to winning ways. The Huot 8000 locks in some predictions as decision day draws nearer, and we welcome William Conwell, of StumpTown Footy, to help preview the Revs mid-week match in Portland against the Timbers.

  • Un-Bou-lievable

If the Revs do make a return to the playoffs in 2019, Gustavo Bou’s blistering, left-footed strike in the 86th minute Saturday against the Chicago Fire may be seen as a pivotal impetus.

New England went up early in the 17th minute when Brandon Bye found a streaking, untouched Wilfried Zahibo in the box to put the Revs up, 1-0. Chicago battled back in the 41st minute off a set piece that lead to a questionable goal from Francisco Calvo, who looked offside, but beat keeper Matt Turner with header near the left post.

The 2-1 win was enough to keep the Revs above the red line and in sixth place, and created some much-needed space between chasing Orlando SC, but it felt almost as if the Boys in Blue may have stolen three points at home. We talk about it with Julian Cardillo, of Pro Soccer USA.

The Huot 8k predicts an uphill ride for the Revs from here on out and it continues this weekend when New England hosts Toronto FC, who remain just one point behind them on the Eastern Conference Table. We welcome back Tej Sahota, of Waking the Red, to see what the Revs are up against when they face a Reds side that has only lost once in its last five matches.
