Listen Later

Farmer’s Inside Track is back with a bang… This week, we have six tips to thrive as a township farmer in Mzansi. We’re joined by Dr Naudé Malan, an academic and founder of iZindaba Zokudla.

Drum roll, please, for the announcement of the first Inqola FEED Innovation Price. FEED co-founder Kevin Naidoointroduces us to Julian Kanjere, co-founder of FoodPrint.

We are also joined by FarmSol farming mentor Barry Nel. In our farmer development segment, he shares some fatherly advice to a new generation of farmers.

And then, in celebration of Women’s Month, we meet this week’s #SoilSista, powered by Corteva Agriscience and Food For Mzansi. You simply have to hear how Gauteng farmer Renate Griessel managed to break the proverbial glass ceiling.

Speaking of powerful women in agriculture, Dr Dorothea Mostert sheds light on what small-scale pig farmers should be doing in terms of control measures against African Swine Flu.
