The band is back together again. With hockey season rapidly approaching, the Dudes from Big D take on the stories of (the end of) summer, from RFA Madness to logo reveals, with some Stars and Wings preview action to get you up to speed for Opening Night.

This week’s bonus episode chronicles the first of the major trades to happen before the season, as Vegas and Montreal hook up to send the elite winger to a new city. We discuss the ludicrous value of the trade and who we think wins in the end.

We launch our 2018 preview series with the division that hosts the reigning champs, the Washington Capitals.

Jeff Skinner has found a new home, and Mark Stone will likely be following suit very soon. We discuss how Buffalo might finally climb out of the valley with an influx of new, young talent while Ottawa looks to hit unprecedented lows. Afterwards, we discuss Corey Pronman’s upcoming prospect pipeline series and predict where we think our favorite teams will fall on the list.

The boys are back! Hockey, however, is not. After a two week break, we get back into the show with a discussion on Monty’s interview from the Athletic’s Sean Shapiro, the possible end of one of the Red Wings’ finest, and new sounds from the Stars booth.

The news? There is no news. The guys discuss the slow-moving discussions around the pending Erik Karlsson trade, from cost to rosters and how Miro Heiskanen is most definitely better than Erik Karlsson and nothing can go wrong.

With all of the deals flooding in from free agency and Tavares jumping to Toronto, we give our opinions on all of the major moves. Daniel and Taylor debate the merits of controversial moves from the Dallas Stars after missing out on Tavares. We discuss Stastny spurning Winnepeg for the Vegas Golden Knights, the ridiculous contracts, the goalie carousel, and Dylan, of course, goes over the Red Wings minor moves. At the end, we fail to predict the future! Yeah the O’Reilly trade happened right when we finished recording.

The Red Wings and the Stars made some pretty interesting selections for the 2018 draft. The whole gang goes through the draft classes for both teams and offers their takes.

The 2018 NHL Draft has arrived! In this special extended episode, Daniel and Taylor discuss the strategies and potential targets for both the Stars and Red Wings ahead of Friday night’s festivities.

Washington won it all and we look back at the mess that was the 2017-18 season. The Capitals players, especially Alex Ovechkin, have been raucously enjoying their new hardware in ways that never cease to entertain. The season as a whole, though, took some very unexpected turns, from players suddenly reemerging to entire teams crumbling under the weight of offseason expectations. We discuss the chances of bizarre history repeating itself and pay homage to the unceremonious end to one of the NHL’s greatest careers.
