Skateboarder And Podcast

To coincide with ‘World Book Day’ this episode we sat down with an author who got banned from the University of Kent campus for skateboarding, only to go back and not just work there, but also get an MA in creative writing! It was a pleasure to finally catch up with the very honest & open skateboarder, poet, producer, playwright and author… Alex Vellis!

We talk about growing dreadlocks at 12, hanging out in coffee shops, getting sponsored by Militia Skateboards, crusty street spots, being chased out of the UKC, being a Grand Slam Champion, HipHop, Connor Sansby, John Cooper Clarke and his new book ‘I Saw A Bird Once’! Trust is it’s really really good!
