A few years ago, she wasn’t sure she would graduate. Now, after earning first place at the state level, an Ohio student is headed to the national SkillsUSA competition in Atlanta. Her journey includes a demanding prepared speech event, full-time work as a cook, and lessons drawn from both culinary training and years of theater experience.
