Steven Banks is a classical saxophonist and is currently the Interim Assistant Professor of Saxophone and Jazz Studies at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music. Steven tells Kai about his North Carolinian roots and the moment he first heard classical saxophone, leading to him attending the North Carolina School of the Arts and falling in love with the instrument. They discuss his advocacy and championing of African composers, including Joseph Bologne who was born ten years before Mozart.

Joel Link is a violinist and member of the Dover Quartet. Joel shares his family background and how the Dovers formed at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. He tells Kai not only about the upsides of life as a traveling string quartet in high demand, but the struggles of always being on the road. They discuss the importance of exercising as musicians and people and the idea of balance in life.
