Mark 2:23 - Mark 3:6. What happens when we take what God has called “good” and add to it? In a word: legalism. If we aren’t careful, in our pursuit of holiness we will create an additional list of rules or demands and hold others accountable to them as well. Our pursuit of Christ becomes a pursuit of following rules and we falsely believe that it’s our obedience that saves instead of Christ alone that saves.
