Canadian born, Berlin based Ryan Ryan James Ford found a home on Marcel Dettmann Records in 2015 with an atmospheric and ambient leaning techno EP. The five-tracker easily conveys the rich influence IDM has had on personality and his production style. Although now, predominantly a techno DJ and producer, Ryan's sets and productions are rich with inspiration from his time spent living in Calgary where he had interests not only in electronic music but also in hip hop, reggae, punk, Ryan is quickly becoming one to watch in Europe

YYYY is an anonymous Techno duo based on Buenos Aires active since 2013. Their eclectic sound spreads through Techno, Industrial, Atmospheric, Dub and Drone. Their performances in both live and hybrid format are known to be forceful and introspective, going from aggressive to deeply emotional and back again. Merging ancient mysticism with avant experimental techno, they released music on labels like Weekend Circuit, Aine (PoleGroup), Planet Rhythm, Evod, and Injected Poison.

Born and educated in Rome, the young Italian producer Luigi Tozzi was strongly influenced by the roman scene and its local artists, many of whom gave a crucial contribution to the birth and growth of the deep techno sound. Luigi’s music has so far been released on the established label Dynamic Reflection, Hypnus Records, where he found a platform that inspired him to develop his style. Melting the tribal and hypnotic elements of techno with the atmospheric and emotional side of ambient music he is making his own path in the world of electronics.

After bursting out onto the scene with three stellar EPs for Len Faki’s Figure in 2016, it’s

time to lift the veil of anonymity over one of Sweden’s best kept secrets.

Listening to the finely tuned synth-work that permeates most of his deep and dubbed out

techno excursions, it becomes clear that UBX127 is not a new player to the game. While the

Warp-catalogue of the mid-90s helped him develop a keen ear for futuristic electronic sounds

early on, soon his focus shifted towards techno and raves.

Following this newfound creative spur while drawing inspiration within the confinements of

hardware and instruments, UBX127 now is all about delving deeper into a personal

exploration of what techno actually means. Distilling its pure, unadulterated essence and

finding the perfect groove.

Freddy K: techno activist. Since the ‘90s Alessio Armeni has been tireless campaigning from the dancefloor, defending vinyl, championing young talents and reinforcing the scene from the shadows. You will know him best for his marathon DJ sets and deviant selections. You might recognise him as the head of KEY Vinyl, or for the backstage role he played at M_Rec, the label he helped run with best friend Max_M. You should definitely know about Virus, the thing that started it all off for him back in Rome. Enjoy it and have a great festive season!
