Merry Christmas & Happy New Year my Slash Citizens!!! In this week's episode we jump back to 1974 to discuss one of the major influencers in the slasher subgenre, Black Christmas. Its lack of blood and gore shows a true classic can run on psychological terror and a story-driven plot. We discuss my distain for backstories, why I'm thankful for *6-9, and whether or not John Carpenter's Halloween is the true godfather of slashers. You may want to lock your windows before turning this one on...
*Audio Less Than Ideal* We get into the holiday spirit this week with Silent Night Deadly Night Part II....and I guess Part I as well. I've never seen a 80 minute movie only take 40 minutes, but that's where SNDNII sets itself apart. Prepare yourself for abysmal acting, a thin plot, a helluva lot of flashbacks, oh and....GARBAGE DAY!!! Pour some liquor in that eggnog when you sit down for this one. You're gonna need it.

BREAKING! Halloween Kills released this Friday and we simply could not pass up the opportunity to watch and give a breakdown. TJ rides shotgun (sawed off with a flashlight) as we talk Michael, Big John/Little John, Hide n Seek with perverts, and why evil does NOT die tonight. First responders beware...Michael is back and bloodthirstier than ever!!!
Rise and shine campers, it's time for another episode of Slash City. This week I welcome back TJ and we say farewell to the summer with Sleepaway Camp II. The Angel of Death, Angela Baker returns but this time as a camp counselor. She wreaks havoc on another group of immoral teens with knives, power drills, battery acid, and anything else she can get her hands on. There will be tokin', there will be pokin', and yes, there will be lots and lots of croakin'...
No need to check your calendars, we're doing April Fools in September. I had Luke and TJ back this week, so why not have a little fun with this mystery slasher? This one features a great ensemble cast including Ginny from Friday the 13th Part II, Biff from Back to the Future, and a Jodie Foster look-a-like, it's enough to make you say...whodunnit? Stop on by for some dranks, skanks, and a helluva lot of pranks.
This week we're reviewing all previously discussed films and put a bow on the Golden Age of the slasher. We talk about both my favorite and most disappointing films, the characters who captured my heart, and the kills that made us go...hells yeah. And what's an episode if I don't bring up the man himself, Tom Savini. Crack an energy drink and kick back as we take one final look at the era that set the tone for what a slasher could and should be. It's a show of gore, horror, and so much more!!!
Happy Friday the 13th to all those in Slash City USA. Tonight is a special episode as I welcome back two slash citizens for a viewing of one of the less popular films of the F13 franchise, A New Beginning. We still manage to have a lot of fun talking Jason, the vile MPAA, my fear of chainsaws, and enchiladas. Stop on by, but hit the bathroom first! If we learn anything from this film, its that pooping at inopportune times can be deadly. Enjoy...
This week we dive into the seedy underworld of New York, with our misunderstood companion, Frank Zito. Frank's just out there trying to live his life. A little sex, take in some art, maybe kill a woman, scalp her then nail her hair to a mannequin, we'll see where the night takes us.
Tom Savini has his hand in the effects, so you know we're in for atleast a few wild kills. He also makes a guest appearance as Disco Boy. The early 80's was an incredibly busy time for Tom, hopefully he doesn't lose his head ;)
This week we're back on campus for The House On Sorority Row. Not exactly a who-done-it slasher, but I was forming my own theories throughout. Stop on by so we can discuss the killer, Katie as our final girl, a sea pig in the girls' swimming pool, and exactly why you should be nice to old ladies. You never know what kind of secrets they have buried away...
