  • End of Year Wrap Up - Top 2025 Horror

This episode is dedicated to Lance’s dear friend and friend of the podcast, David Adam Williams, otherwise known as Adam The Woo, who passed away on December 22.  Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and followers during this difficult time.  Not only was he a respected YouTuber and influencer in the horror community, Lance also knew him as a personal friend outside of that space for many, many years. He will be sorely missed. “That’s it for today. The vlog is over.”

    .

    .

    .

Hey, Goons!  Today is our final episode of 2025, and that means we’re sharing our top horror films of the year in our end-of-year wrap-up.  Before you listen, we invite you to participate by checking out the categories below and letting us know which films you would choose for each one.  There are still a few days left in the year, so if you need to squeeze in any last minute films, we highly encourage you to do so; although, I know for many of us, myself included, Stranger Things has been the top priority, haha.

    Categories:

    1. Top 5 of 2025

    2. Top Indie Flick of 2025

    3. Top mockumentary / found footage film of 2025

    4. Scariest scene of 2025

    5. What we’re looking forward to in 2026

Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

We’d also like to acknowledge and pay our respects for James Ransone and Rob Reiner, who have not only impacted the horror space, but also TV and Hollywood in general. Rest in Peace.

Finally, to Dan, Jereme, Mitch, and Heath (special shoutouts to Dave and John), Downtown Orlando will not be the same without you and Tanqueray’s.  After 37 years of business, thank you for all you’ve done to make Downtown amazing (not to mention the Ernest Saves Christmas cameo)!  Tanqueray’s official last day is December 31.

Special shout-out to our dear friend of the podcast, Jenna Kanell!!!!

  • The Advent Calendar (Le Calendrier)

Welcome to another episode of Slashers Podcast's December to Dismember month with Lance's pick, The Advent Calendar from 2020! This French film is currently streaming on Shudder and is a dismal ride through a dreary holiday season with our protagonist as she must fight through each day of December in order to make it through to the end. Before we get into the film, however, Lance wanted to talk some smack and get into gossip with Danielle Harris's podcast, and comment on a Quentin Tarantino's less that stellar comments on Mathew Lillard. As always, watch the film before you listen, as there are spoilers aplenty. What's your favorite horror flick? Let us know in the comments!

  • The Devil's Rejects

This week on Slashers Podcast, we’re pulling up a dusty roadside chair at the dinner table of America’s most dysfunctional family: The Fireflys.

As part of our Family Gorey Gathering month, we’re diving into Rob Zombie’s brutal, sweaty, sun-scorched nightmare The Devil’s Rejects (2005).

Ade, Mikey, and Lance talk about how Zombie evolved from the grindhouse carnival chaos of House of 1000 Corpses into something grimier, meaner, and disturbingly charismatic.

We break down the film’s cult legacy, its outlaw-country energy, and why Captain Spaulding, Otis Driftwood, and Baby Firefly became horror icons in denim, dust, and blood. We get into the film’s unflinching violence, its complicated moral grime, and why some horror families stick with us like a stain you can’t bleach out. Plus: Bill Moseley being strangely attractive in this film.

Grab a gas-station corn dog, check the backseat, and hit play. Just remember: I am the devil, and I am here to do the podcast.
