Sleepy Bedtime Blessings

💜 Hello Beautiful Friends, it is a blessing to gather with you for this episode of our podcast.

Of course, we begin with lots of love from the angels for you. They also bring us a sweet reminder to release energies that are not ours to carry. I'll also share with you about the "Angel Buffer" the angels taught me about in service to keeping our energy fields clearer.

Then for storytime, I'm sharing with you a few random childhood memories including a neighbor's tree that served as our rocket ship to the  moon and subliminal messaging I received as a child about not winning too much at bingo. It's a sweet journey and I hope it provides you with a gentle space to unwind and fall asleep.

Storytime starts at 20:45

And as always, if you’re looking to deepen your connection with the angels or find a bit more joy and "delight" in your everyday, my Earth Angels Oracle deck is here to help. You can find it here.

Hello Beautiful Friends-

In celebration of the life of Richard Simmons, I'm guided to post a replay of the episode I recorded in 2022 as a love note of gratitude for him.  Richard was one of the first people who made it welcoming for people of size to Sweat to the Oldies. For years I attended his gym, Slimmons, in Beverly Hills. This is my sweet tribute to someone who was a champion and voice of love for so many.

During our angel time, we also explore what it is to be incarnated as an Earth Angel and spread more love in this world. This feels very apropos in celebration of Richard's legacy.

Rest in Peace, Richard. Thank you for all the love and kindness you shared with us over the years.

💜 Hello Sweet Ones, thank you for tuning in for this episode of our podcast!

We begin with a beautiful pep talk for you. It comes with a gentle reminder that you are a Light-Bearer and encouragement from the angels to "be the drop of the ocean that operates from the place of love and kindness."

In this storytime, we travel back to 1927 when electric refrigerators where finding their way into the kitchens of America. This was a huge leap forward in food storage and preparation for the housewives of the era. If you enjoy me at my snarky best, you'll enjoy my perception of how I would have fared as a housewife in those days (preview, not well... not well at all). But I will be happy to serve you some chilled grapes, a box of cereal with milk and a company-worthy yogurt parfait.

Our glimpse into the past is courtesy of the book, Electric Refrigerator Recipes and Menus from General Electric Refrigerator.

💜 Hello Dear Friends. It's a blessing to keep you company for this episode of the podcast.

We begin with a sweet conversation about making space to rest and the power of allowing for pauses in life. The angels bring forth a beautiful infusion of love for you, too.

📺 For storytime, we return to the pages of the issue from September 1978 with Mary Tyler Moore on the cover. We explored the first part of this issue in episode #257. Now we're back to pick up with Tuesday's programming and travel all the way through the TV TV Guide crossword puzzle. Lots of great memories to share from this era of programming. And somehow we also find our ways to a conversation about Legg's pantyhose.  📼

💜 Hi Loves! Laurel here. The angels and I have woven together another hour of love and inspiration for you.  😇💤

In this episode's Storytime, I'm excited to share with you the life of Dr. Sarah Hackett Stevenson, a truly remarkable woman. I discovered her story through an unlikely source—a community cookbook published in 1919 by The Sarah Hackett Stevenson Memorial Lodging House, a refuge for impoverished and unhoused women and their children in Chicago.

As I delved deeper into Dr. Stevenson's life, I became captivated by her significant contributions to women in medicine, wellness, and advocacy for women's rights. Her story is not only inspiring but also a testament to the power of dedication and compassion for humanity.

Hi Loves - Enjoy this replay of episode #120 where I share about my adventures appearing on a game show back in the late 80s.

In this episode, Laurel and the angels help you cultivate your own streams infused with Divine Hope. For story time,  Laurel shares an exciting tale from her past as a contestant on a popular game show in the late 1980s. Though she didn't take home the grand prize, she did receive a generous reward of a year's supply of artificial sweetener. Join Laurel for a night of sweet and soothing vibes as she helps listeners drift off to a peaceful sleep.

💜 Hi Loves! Laurel here with another sweet episode for you. In this episode, the angels weave threads of love throughout our time together to support you in replenishing and connecting with the wellspring of Divine Love.   😇💤

For Storytime, I have another community cookbook for you. This one is from the Sisterhood of Agudas Achim Temple in Attleboro, MA. I believe this book is from the late 60s or early 70s. Lots of delicious recipes for you including Nana Rose's Fudge Squares. And of course, I'll be sharing with you some of my own food-related memories including the tale of the Exploding Kishke.

💜 Hey sweet friends! It's your host Laurel, back with another episode of Sleepy Bedtime Blessings. As always, the angels are creating a sweet and loving space for you to replenish and rest.  😇💤

In this episode, we contemplate the concept of forgiveness as well as the invitation to clear our energy fields of that which does not belong to us.

🪔 For our storytime, one of my favorite kinds of episodes... we'll be perusing the pages of Trader Joe's Fearless Flyer for May 2024 (with a nod of inspiration from Drew Ackerman of the Sleep with Me podcast). Trader Joe's is one of my very favorite places to shop. Once again,  you'll hear me fondly recall their now discontinued Jumbo Raisin Medley. We'll explore some of their new offerings for this month and other fond food memories.

💜 Hello Sweet Friends. Thank you for joining me for episode 257 of Sleepy Bedtime Blessings.

The angels are infusing waves of love and light for you to help you replenish and rest. Lots of beautiful energy is flowing through for you here. And a sweet reminder, whenever you listen, the angels will join you in live time.  💜

📺 For storytime, a listener favorite... we're flipping through the pages of another vintage TV Guide issue. This time we're perusing the pages of an issue featuring one of America's beloved TV stars, Mary Tyler Moore. This issue is from September, 1978. As we walk down memory lane, I'll be sharing with you insights from my 16-year old self. This was a brilliant time for TV and t here's lots to share with you. 📼
