On our last Yuletide Slime episode for 2021, we uncover the oft-forgotten 2006 release "Unaccompanied Minors". Directed by Paul Feig in between his work on Freaks & Geeks and Bridesmaids, this swamp-era release carries a strong thematic resemblance to Home Alone, House Arrest, and other Slimehouse staples. And an extreme bobsledding scene. 

"Snow dad is better than no dad."

Joined by Bryan Hume, Slime Superfan and creator of the official Slimehouse website, the boys discuss one of their strangest films yet, 1998's tonal "slime sandwich" Jack Frost. Discussed along the way are the crucial importance of soundtrack to slime, Henry Rollins' acting career, and whether a movie that depends equally on both tearjerker moments and butt jokes can truly be considered a full-on Slime extravaganza. 

"I'll get the toy. I promise."

Another iconic Arnold role just in time for Christmas! It's a movie from right when Slimehouse was starting to hit the mainstream that satirizes the commercial madness of shopping for toys, but also foreshadows the rise of Black Friday and bum-rush shopping sprees. Sinbad and Schwarzeneggar face off with a large supporting cast including Jake Lloyd, Rita Wilson and Phil Hartman. Let the hijinks ensure, it's Turbo Time!

To begin this Yuletide Slime season, we take look at the holiday classic A Christmas Story, a movie which has a deep influence on the perspective and humor of what the Slimehouse genre would become. Last year, the host agreed that without Home Alone there would be no Slimehouse wave. But consider this, without A Christmas Story is there even a Home Alone?
