With her undeniable stage presence and magnetic energy, Hayley Zalassi has quickly stamped her name on the UK’s underground music scene as one to watch.

Taking inspiration from her time working in the legendary Scottish venue “The Arches” to transform her life from behind the bar to behind the decks. The Glasgow born and bred DJ has been making quite the splash in her home country. Frequently labelled as the new Queen of Scottish House Music and with such legendary names as Harri & Domenic, Mr. G and Kerri Chandler championing her vision (the later even going b2b with Hayley at the Sub Club New Year’s Day 2023 celebrations!) it is safe to say that the future of Scottish House is looking very very healthy!

"This mix is a gentle, contemplative journey, recorded from my cosy studio on a sunny autumn Sunday, with relaxed home-listening in mind. I have been listening to Slothboogie Podcasts for many years, and I'm quite honoured to be rubbing shoulders with some other amazingly talented podcast guests, so I wanted to present a mix that was a solid definition of 'who I am' as an artist (not the easiest thing to do in 1hr!), and with a slight nod towards housier/warmer-toned selections than I may otherwise play in the club. I think you will definitely 'get to know me' via this mix, and hopefully feel like you're mentally transported to a calm desert island beach with some pale blue waters and good feelings in the air. "I am a producer, musician and DJ from Frankfurt, Germany. My second base is Atlanta.

Frankfurt, with its more electronic-based sound and Atlanta, with its more soulful sound, significantly impacted me.

My house productions have been heavily influenced by the deep and soulful house sound of the late 90s and the early and mid 2000s.

In addition to house, I spin broken beat, afrobeat, disco, funk, soul, Bossa, etc, basically a large part of the music of the Afro diaspora.

For this particular set, I tried to stay within the realms of house.
