unreleased .. underground .. timeless"

"inspired from a 7-hour long set in Berlin playing b2b, it felt quite natural to record this mix together."

Rosa Red's musical beginnings lie in the psychedelic and spherical niches of Rock as well as learning her craft by playing Bass in Post Punk Bands. Exploring what the music universe also had to offer, Rosa soon got immersed in the vast world of electronic music and found herself trading the bass guitar with turntables. Fascinated by the variety of styles and possibilities, this newfound world had to offer, the Berlin based artist took her musical journey to House, Breakbeat and Rave euphoria, while sitting comfortably between genres. Rosa's style is characterized by a personal take on the vital interaction of melody, rhythm & mood. You can hear her broad range in her widely praised DJ sets (which made her a regular at Munich's super club Blitz and a staple in Berlin's famous nightlife circle) and in her productions. The logical progression from playing music to making music led Rosa to her first two EPs landing, both of which landed on planet Permanent Vacation, who share a tight bond and a musical vision with Rosa Red. The magnificent ability to evoke the magic of her DJ sets in her own music combined with impeccable production skills make Rosa one of the fastest rising talents with a promising bright future.

Benjamin Fröhlich has struck many chords in the arena of electronic music over the past years: as a DJ, label owner and producer. Artists on Permanent Vacation’s roster include Massimiliano Pagliara, Perel, John Talabot, Todd Terje, Mano Le Tough, Chloe, Red Axes, Lauer, Fort Romeau, Pional and many more. On top of his dedication to exploring and featuring rising as well as accomplished artists, Benjamin Fröhlich himself has emerged as a producer of vibrant tracks that are a testament to his versatile and compelling approach to club music. His own productions and remixes are very well received by DJs and clubbers alike and got played all around the globe. Starting out as a record shop owner in his hometown Munich (prior to his PV label work), Benjamin Fröhlich has developed an uplifting style in his DJ sets, which fuses House, Disco and Cosmic into hypnotic and enthusiastic nights. Through his in-depth background, Benjamin Fröhlich passionately combines the unforgettable past and the gripping present with the hits of tomorrow.

Trago has long been one of the leading lights of the Dutch electronic music underground; a globe- trotting DJ, producer, live performer, and label owner who enjoys nothing more than championing both overlooked gems and fresh sounds from his own country.

To celebrate the release of his new album, 'Deco' on seminal Dutch label, Rush Hour, we've welcomed Tom into the SB guest mix hot seat.

“This mix was done early morning / late night. I tried to keep it emotional and fragile but still jackin. It is what I call a 'light-house' mix, just enough energy to get you to the next level. I recorded it at Doka in Amsterdam.

From new to old but all with that certain lighthouse club feeling to it. ENJOY!... “

Tigerbalm's music production is a kaleidoscope of global influences; ranging from deep tribal sounds to disco-driven dance floor grooves. She makes movement-inspiring dance music, combining electronic elements and organic instrumentation, stemming at large from African & Latin American music. Never more so evident than on her LP, International Love Affair.

Tigerbalm has now invited a collection of electronic producers to deliver 12 unique remixes of the LP. The new remix versions take influences and tastes from across the globe, and to mark it's release Rose has provided us with a beautifully vibrant mix for the SB series.

He is one of the first Dutch techno producers/musicians to establish a vital connection between Detroit and Amsterdam in the early 90ʼs. Orlando Voorn has long been recognized as one of the Netherlandʼs most original and ingenious techno producers in the world of electronic dance music. Voorn began DJing at the early age of 12 years old and later went on to win his first scratch competition at Amsterdam “Club Flora Palace”. Amazingly Voorn did this by borrowing records from his competitor.

We now have the pleasure of welcoming a true house hero into the mix series for your listening pleasure.

Sound Support, made up of Lars Dales & Lorenz Rhode, released their first two EP son Prins Thomas’ Internasjonal, then appeared on House of Disco, Let’s Play House and Permanent Vacation. Now arriving on Will Saul’s Aus Music imprint, the duo have delivered an EP spanning House, Italo, Electro and beyond, showcasing their unique ability to craft fun and well-considered dance music. To help showcase this release, they've stepped in to provide us with a stunning guest mix.

"We made this mix in the studio together and we had a blast finding a bit more house oriented selection. Our AUS and Toy Tonics releases just dropped and they’re both more house than our regular stuff, so our heads are in that space. We’ve tried to make it fun, not too lighthearted, and finished with a bang (3 of our own tracks back to back)."
