SlothBoogie Podcast

We welcome @marlonhoffstadt to the guest mix series with an immediately slammin' mix to get you straight into the weekend swing of things.

It seems Marlon has really switched gears this year and has been pumping out or curating some really exceptional releases. We've been especially into his releases via our friends at @the-ransom-note and of course his Midnight Themes output.

Check the "Treat Yourself" EP out on Marlon's bandcamp : https://ransomnoterecords.bandcamp.com/album/treat-yourself

Now strap in and get ready to rave for the next hour.

Well you didn't think we'd release a super hot EP by the @2xmurrays and then not get them in for a Guestmix did you!? Getting us fully lubed up for the weekend ahead and also showcasing the type of vibes & bounce the 2XM boys like to get down to, is this weeks special guestmix!

Oh by the way you can still BUY the '2XM - Hydrate EP' : fanlink.to/SBJAMZ001

and if you've got any fashion sense you'll be wanting one of these to match the EP: https://bit.ly/2IXjPCM

This week we welcome Slav, the king of YouTube music channels, to the mix series... Having supplied us with so many premium dusty House selections over the years it was only a matter of time until we got him to pull together some of his freshest finds into a non stop hour long mix.

If you dont know his channel or aren't involved in the FB Group then what are you waiting for?!

We've been aware of the burgeoning talent that is iona for a number of years now... ever since her set at the Dance Tunnel (R.I.P) closing party, which stole the show. Now based in Clapton we've been keen to get her involved all summer, but a busy festival schedule has meant we've had to wait... but the wait is finally over.

In her own words... 'the mix takes my usual approach - a blend of all the tunes I've been enjoying recently... a mixed bag'

You can catch her tonight in Bristol... https://www.facebook.com/events/512059249249870/?__mref=mb

It's an offshoot of @xvi-records which boasts a heavy roster such as Books | Munro | Delonte Rivers | Henry Wu | Bambooman | My Panda Shall Fly & Yumi And The Weather. The edit focused offshoot inaugurated by @booksdj last year continues with label newcomer @partnermusic from whom we premiered the carnival ready 'My People' a few weeks back.

So here we are at number 150! While Leicester based @flatwhiterecords may be a young label, the releases they have put out so far have been solid gold (alongside the art direction), and the upcoming stuff promises to be of the same calibre. We're obviously also big fans of the broken, heavily swung & jazzy influenced house they put out and this mix by label bossman @flatwhitechris showcases just that kind of music, so let the weekend vibes commence!

Making some serious lo-fi waves currently is Aussie label, recently re-located to Berlin @nerangrecordings, run by the lovely @djwhiprsnipr. We've premiered some great stuff off the label already so we thought, like we always do, "Hey man, wanna do a guestmix for us?!", and the bossman kindly obliged us after getting settled in wonderful Berlin. Chock full of his label's releases and also some forthcoming stuff, it's an awesome insight into the flavours and textures Nerang like to provide.

Get stuck into some exxtra crispy hi-hats people!
