SlothBoogie Podcast

Conor presents our latest show with all the hits you need.

Up this week for the esteemed SB Guestmix title is Psychiatrist by day, DJ by night: DJ Psychiatre is another gem of France’s thriving electronic music scene. His musical output speaks for itself, with a string of successful releases on killer labels such as Shall Not Fade, House Plant Records, Pont Neuf, Noir & Blanche and LYAM most recently.

So take a seat on his couch and listen to what he has to say...

@djpsychiatre

Up this week is someone who is killing it right now, Rob Redford! Delivers a sublime guestmix for us and is most definitely someone to stick squarely on your radar. A champion of that raw, deep & bumpin house he's had releases on Local Talk, Sean McCabe's Good Vibrations & his own X-Trax imprint to name a few so you know he knows his onions. Strap in and enjoy!

After a two-year hiatus, Dan Piu and Grant's Theory of Movement project returns to the label W.T.M.C (When The Morning Comes). Their previous EP, a highly sought-after collection of connoisseur-level house music, set a high bar. If you don't know Dan is a key figure in the Swiss electronic music scene and Grant is one half of Frank & Tony on the wonderful Scissor and Thread label in NYC and resident at the very cool Public Records Venue in Brooklyn.

We've snagged them in for a gloriously delicious guestmix this week to celebrate these new tidings of HOUSE. So act accordingly and get to it!

The new EP - Structural EP (W.T.M.C) (When The Morning Comes) out: April 2025

Next up in the series we have 90 minutes of house pumpers courtesy of Horsemen. Having featured many of their tracks in our radio shows it felt right to finally get them on board for a mix.

From Christoph and Morrison:

‘To capture that peak-time energy, we aimed for that magic vibe from 5:00 to 7:00 AM — just like when we played together on Feb 1st at OXI during the SGT monthly label event, where we’re currently holding a residency.’ - https://soundcloud.com/horsemen_music

Danny SB is back in the Radio chair with a mix of purely re-discovered gems, enjoy!

Fresh from a hawt boogie release on Star Creature we welcome KNOE1 to the guest mix series to provide an hour of vibes starting with some fine Disco, Funk & Boogie before heading into more pumpy House fit for any basement party.

"A mix of some newer cuts mixed with some classics that haven’t left my crate and stand the test of time for me." - https://soundcloud.com/knoe1

Make sure you grab the release on bandcamp:

"I once toured the entire world as a DJ when I didn’t know how to DJ. Now I know how to DJ but these days don’t tour much. To be honest I miss it, DJing. This mix is me enjoying the art of DJing to myself. Imagining I was in a club filled with kind, creative souls. Vibing with some of my fav tracks that I would love to hear playing loud bumping in the sound system. Features all 3 tracks from my new EP, “is this the apocalypse”. Released on my imprint Secret Angels." - https://soundcloud.com/seven-davis-jr
