Track 13. off of Prima Materia. An album inspired by alchemy, the art of turning lead to gold. It looks at negatives and positives in life. Negatives as lead, and positives as gold. The project is based around trying to turn negatives into positives. Prima Materia is Latin for "The One Thing." or "first matter". Thought to be the material or substance that was there before the big bang and the universe was created, or when God said let there be light. Chaos, dark matter, or ether. A metaphor for what my life was before coming to terms with and facing addiction and my struggles with mental health, chaos and darkness. This album looks at that time in my life, and the light and the new universe created after finding music, love for family, and appreciation for existence. The first matter is the first material used in the creation of the Philosopher's Stone, the substance that can turn lead to gold. This album is my first step in having the realizations that will turn negatives to positives in my life.
