this week we’re taking a little detour from the movies to talk about stranger things. yeah that’s right, I said it, we’re talking about that little show that a few people watch that’s set in the 80s… you may have heard of it? you know, it’s got the group of kids riding around all E.T. like. it’s the show with the girl with a number for a name. it’s got steve, the greatest guy of all time! you know the one??

Dig this maaaaan, it’s hollywood in 1969 maaaan. sike! Quentin fooled you sucker!!  it’s 2022 baby, and this week we watched Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. it’s Brad and Leo, I mean come on. oops, it was also written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. oops, it’s got Margot Robbie. oops, it’s also two hours and 40 minutes long.

“Just remember, you’re Rick-f***ing-Dalton! Don’t you forget that!”

Erik and I are the last ones alive. I think he’s one of them.. one of those things. I mean, I’m really not sure about it, he ate the last sandwich and I feel like the real Erik would’ve split it with me. honestly I’m pretty pissed off so yeah.. I’m saying he’s one of them. he’s looking at me right now as I write this… what a freak. I need to figure out a way to get rid of him. as I keep thinking about it, Erik’s favorite kind of food is sandwiches… NO I can’t go back on my thought.. he’s one of them. it’s going to be a long, cold night. good luck “Erik”… if that’s your real name.

anyways in the meantime, enjoy this episode! you never know, it could be our last. unless we both become things and decide to still watch movies and talk about them.

I don't have much to say, it's early in the morning and I'm tired. my coffee is literally drippin all over the damn table. wind river is an incredible film. If you don't believe me, that's okay, but I think you're making a grave mistake if you don't watch this one. I mean come on... Elizabeth Olsen??? freakin Jeremy Renner??! give it a shot, trust me. if you're reading this and don't even plan on giving wind river a chance... you are personally choosing to have beef with this podcast.. including Michael and Erik. It'll get ugly too, we're willing to go to the extreme to go after people who don't even give the film a shot. good luck you fool.

sorry all of the regular people out there had to read that... we had to let the foolish ones know that they are at risk if they don't watch this one. hope you all gave a good one. Renner, take me out.

sluggers. this one is real.. or is it?? honestly, I’m not quite sure. what I am quite sure about, though, is that there’s some looooooong shots in this one… and that acting? yeah, let me tell ya, those actors are rippin alright. anyways, there’s a lot of good content packed into this movie…. so if you haven’t seen birdman or (the unexpected virtue of ignorance), what the H E double hockey sticks are you doing still reading this sentence that is more than likely a run on? GO WATCH IT. spoilers ahead, you’ve been warned. I mean jeez, at this point I’ll have a hard time feeling bad spoiling it for you. did I mention that this movie has got some real good stuff going on with it? the good stuff is packed on in.

What up SLUGGERS!! We got another hot throwback for your supple ears. It's Whack Jack and his merry crew of troublemakers here to send you into a twilight zone of suspense. We had a great sluggin time with this one and I think you will too. It brings back memories and reminds us of the pros and cons of art taken to the extremes. Mr. Kubric is someone to remember, but also good to remember that he is a bit of a loose cannon who may not always be the most humanistic of a person. Can't we have both? Either way, the movie is magic and we dive in completely on this episode of Sluggin Films! Enjoy the experience.
