Twas the night before the Rumble and all through the Fed.

Very few people were up out of bed.

Saturday morning, Greg and Brad are here to talk this weeks’ SmackDown

As we wait to see which wrestlers are in town.

Over the top rope the superstars will go

With a false finish or two, the fans well yell “Nooooo”.

Who will be last standing, is it someone we can see?

Or will it be Charlotte on mended knee.

Kevin and Cody will fight over eagle’s wings.

Climbing up rungs to capture golden things.

R-Truth’s still funny, he makes us laugh hard.

While Dameon Priest tells LA Knight, Truth’s not playing with a full deck of cards.

AEW’s reffing invades in the 8-man tag match.

Yes-Boys and DIY seem to be having a rough patch.

Carmelo loses again, oh what a surprise.

And Chelsea’s Secret Hervice give’s us laughing cries.

Enjoy Rumble Day, we hope it’s great fun.

And thank you for letting me write this synopsis, but I’m done!

We try to do a Speedrun this week, but like a 3 hour SmackDown, there’s a little filler in here!

Greg and Brad review this week’s SmackDown and prepare you for Saturday Night’s Main Event.

We get a great MCMG vs Pretty Deadly Match

We get Tiffy interrupted by Liv, Mami and well everyone else.

Apollo Crews had to actually wrestle tonight.

Dameon Priest arrived via the Transfer Portal and Carmelo Hayes lost… again.

Kevin Owens (in a Naomi t-shirt) took on Jimmy Uso.

Your SmackDaddies are back, as well as Shawn from All Elite Radio to review this week’s SmackDown.

The Netflix Era (in Canada anyway) is making this experience a lot more enjoyable. And this week, WWE gave us ONE recap. Their creativity on catching us up with backstage segments won high praise.

While the show still struggles with a 3 hour format (and we eagerly await the day to return to two hours), we saw some great matches and segments tonight.

Highlights included Chelsea Green and her Secret Service bodyguard, Kevin Owens and Rey Mysterio, Eddie’s influence, Bob Uecker tribute, and Tiffy and Bailey.

With Greg nursing an injury, we placed a call to Tennessee, bringing in Sean Burkhead from All Elite Radio to break down three jam-packed hours of SmackDown!

Here’s the twist — one of us watched on Netflix in Canada, while the other tuned in via the USA Network. How did the broadcasts compare? We compared notes and shared our thoughts on the week’s biggest moments.

In storyline chaos:

• Paul Heyman reveals that Roman Reigns has his sights set on reclaiming Cody Rhodes’ title.
• The Bloodline unleashes mayhem, with Kevin Owens getting in on the fun and brawls breaking out left and right.
• Bayley secures a chaotic Fatal 4-Way win, earning a title shot against Tiffany Stratton.
• Tag Team action heats up as the Motor City Machine Guns, Pretty Deadly, Los Garza, and A-Town Down Under battle it out for No. 1 contender status.

And in the wild main event: Cody Rhodes & Jimmy Uso vs. Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga ends in complete carnage — with the chaos spilling backstage into a brutal brawl between Cody and Kevin Owens!

Oh dear god, how are we going to survive 3 hour SmackDown’s? As tonight’s SmackDown was a 3 hour Raw, and not the good 3 hour Raws…the ones that he who shall not be named wrote.

Here’s what you need to know about this episode.

There was A LOT of filler.

Paul Haymen doesn’t like metal detectors.

He’s also going to hold and present the ula fala to the winner of Tribal Combat. Greg thinks his red t-shirt will show.

The Tasmanian Devil interrupts the Tag Team Title Match.

The women’s title match was long, but Tiffy Time is great.

Tiffy time becomes stiffy time as we get a MITB cash-in.

And if SmackDown ends here, you’d go home happy.

But we get another hour, of backstage crap and a 6 man dark match that ended up on TV.

Will Greg return next week for another 3 hour Raw, I mean SmackDown? Who knows…

With Greg away on a special assignment, Brad the Dad teams up with his firstborn for this week’s episode! Together, they dive into the latest SmackDown, which—spoiler alert—was a real snooze fest. While the show had its highs and lows, they'll miss the classic two-hour SmackDown format—Greg especially!

Plus, don’t miss this week’s bonus content: a nerdy sit-down to chat about Marvel’s What If...? Season 3 on Disney+. Tune in for all the fun, banter, and hot takes!

This week, the SmackDaddies are one tag team member short, so Brad brought in a special guest—his daughter Maddie! Together, they kick off by discussing SmackDown, giving you the perspective of someone in the key demo tuning in on a Friday night. As a bonus, they dive into Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (spoiler alert!). Fueled by artificial colors, flavors, and plenty of ADHD energy, Brad and Maddie have a blast on a Friday night. We hope you enjoy the chaos!

Warm up the car to a balmy 68 degrees, as we’re going to be spending some time in it tonight.

SmackDown is in Minnesota and the biannual, cross brand invitational, transfer portal 3.0 sponsored by Prime Energy drinks is about to open.

On this 4 match card, we get significant storylines to help us get to next week’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Tiffy Time, in Vikings gear, emerges as the last semi-finalist for the Women’s US belt.

Bianca gets beaten up in the back, and tries to lay the beat down on Piper.

The most dangerous area on SmackDown, the backstage, strikes again with Street Profits looking for the smoke in all the wrong places.

DIY replaces them in an eventful match with MCMG.

And Stardust takes on Shorty G in a great match that leads to Greg’s theory on the Saturday Night’s Main Event.

We also talk about Whamagedon, Hockey Fan Brawls and Parent Teacher Interviews.

After one of the best WWE SmackDowns of 2024, WWE gave us a filler episode.

The only thing worth watching tonight is the Roman Reigns/CM Punk backstage interaction (which they’ll probably show on the pre-show and PLE tomorrow).

Enjoy War Games!
