Smart Women Read Romance

Fixer Upper but make it historical!

I first fell in love with Eloisa James after reading her Desperate Duchess series. Villier was a character that I was immediately intrigued by and his story directly ties into Lady X.

Thorn is all grown up and looking to start a family of his own. He wants the life that he was deprived of as a child. A warm loving partner to raise children with is his ONLY requirement in a wife.

So when Lady Xenobia India is hired to turn his sight-unseen fixer upper into an opulent family home, everything he thought he wanted is challenged. Throw in a precocious little girl that is suddenly entrusted to Thorn’s care, nothing is going according to plan!

A motorcycle romance murder mystery!

Most of you know that we struggle with motorcycle romance on the whole. So, when I saw that Deveny Perry was writing a small-town romance with a former MC that disbanded, I did a little *squee*! Maybe this would be a different kind of MC that didn't degrade women, felt like a real family and made us swoon in the process.

It was! The Clifton Forge series is has cemented itself as our favorite MC romance novels.

What happens when an Irish mobster unknowingly kidnaps a stick of dynamite in a bubbly, yoga-loving, pink-wearing WOMAN?

Sparks, fireworks, explosions! Seriously, I hate that I’m hyping this book so much because I know how it feels to have high expectations and be let down, but this book 🤯

Sloane is almost too hot to handle for Declan but somehow they are exactly what each other needs. The humor is high, the banter is non-stop, one of my favorite scenes is so over the top but it just works. READ IT! Please 😊

We asked for your unpopular opinions on romance books and you delivered. Juliette and I definitely had a good laugh with some of these.

A clever, insightful woman? Dangerous indeed!

Adam de Courtney aka The Mad Marquess has no idea the ride he's lined up for when he agrees to marry Mia, the daughter of a duke who hasn't been seen in over a decade. Mia was secretly a captive, living in a harem and now her father wants to marry her off quickly before she embarrasses him. A man who is rumored to have done away with both of his wives sounds perfect!

Both of these characters are carrying secrets and trust isn't so easily won. A marriage of convenience turns into a passionate love affair, but trouble still finds them. This book is an adventure and you will not be disappointed!

Mad Max but with werewolves!

Thank you Juliette for bringing this action/adventure romance to my attention. This is definitely a wild ride in a post-apocalyptic world - Mad Max Style!

Riley is taken captive by a warg, werewolves that are normally mindless, lethal beings with a penchant for using women. But Lucius seems to have his beast under control and he's looking for the man who ruined his life.

Riley struggles as she starts to view Lucius as a man and not the monster that wargs usually are, but will that mean betraying her own?
