It's been at least a full episode since Derek has yelled at a woman for not being sexy enough for him, so this week Veronica Moore fixes that problem by performing a televised one night only concert and submitting to his every request! With Eileen facing a jury over the future of Bombshell and Julia preoccupied accidentally stumbling into yet another affair she didn't see coming, everybody else takes a second to stage a series of increasingly Fosse-esque numbers for the world* to see (* it's on Bravo, so by the world, we really mean like twenty people). And Ali and Olly are re-united after their week apart with tales of Alabama, The Ferryman, and Marie's Crisis.

Ali and Olly fall head over heels for Peter Gilman, the newest addition to Bombshell's creative team (Ali maybe a little too much), as the Liaisons musical emerges and Derek is finally convinced that Hit List might not be a burning pile of garbage (that Karen Cartwright always was a deceptive one...).

As Bombshell crumbles under the mighty fist of whoever it was Jerry sent a sneaky text to in the last episode, so does Julia’s motivation to go anywhere but the Bronx Zoo even though Tom needs her at a gala! Derek’s career comes under threat as SMASH makes #MeToo happen years ahead of its time, and meanwhile Ali and Olly reflect on how much is too much to spend on recording equipment and what an absolute cabaret banger “They Just Keep Moving The Line” is.
