Setting Boundaries with an addict is not as easy as it seems:
1) No more drugs around me and the kids or family.
2) None of your addicted friends are allowed in the house.
3) No more insults from you- do not talk to me like that.
4) I will not cover for you - no more lies.
5) No more money - I will not support your addiction
6) If you get arrested, I will not help you, visit you or pay for a lawyer.
Monique A. and I are talking about red flags. Recognizing red flags and acting on your gut instincts. Believe what your inner intuition tells you. Stay safe ladies, and if you need help or need to talk about setting boundaries, you can contact me at [email protected].
Reflecting - Realizing- Making Amends. How is it possible to face the mixed messages you received as a child and still learn to become a warmhearted and responsible person who can finally learn from the past without blaming someone and turning towards healing? Healing yourself, help your children to heal - be the one who breaks the cycle? Step by step, we will get there.

Dear friends,
I have started sharing my personal journey and why it seems so hard for me to set boundaries with you.
My last post was clearly a startling one for some of my friends and colleagues.
My friend Monique, an accomplished author, actress, and initiator of the Facebook Groups Boundaries for Women and Boundaries for Christian Women and I reflect on some reactions I have received. Some feedback seemed very hard to swallow, and some were so encouraging that I decided to continue sharing my personal story and to share our discussion with you.
