Welcome back, this Wednesday on Smoke to Smoke, Cadabra has a HEAVY chat with Ebony Jones! We start out chatting a little about her NON-INFUSED pastry business 8twenty8, her Puff and Plant Intentions events, experience as an ordained cannabis-friendly minister, and her experience in the cannabis industry in Oklahoma. 

While she has had an eventful and productive year in 2022, what is not commonly talked about is the Racial Stigma and Injustice that still happens in the workplace. Cadabra felt this conversation was exceptionally important to bring to y'all, because the stigma associated with being one of the only (or literally the ONLY) person of color working and trying to thrive in a space where most of your peers don't look like you is not commonly highlighted.

It is important that as we push forward in 2023 and years to come that we continue to shed light on stories and experiences and acknowledge when there is weakness within the current system, so that we can rally together for a positive change in the cannabis industry. While the cannabis industry varies drastically from state to state, by exposing issues and having conversations about them we lay the path for more opportunities for people of color in the cannabis space.

Welcome Back! This Wednesday. although we've got a shorter episode for you today, Cadabra hopes that the message resonates with you all the same! Today. you can tune in for an interview that was wildly different from the initial one we had planned months ago. In between the time that Cadabra initially met Zach Mays, co-owner of Delta Infused and today's chat, Zach found himself in a bit of legal trouble. While driving through Arkansas working on pitching his Delta 8 orange syrup to local tobacco and CBD distributors, Zach was stopped with his infused beverages on him. All of the product he had was confiscated and tested, and despite coming back negative for Delta 9 THC and being Hemp derived-- thus making them federally legal-- the courts still have decided to push through and charge Mr.Mays with a Class B Felony for Possession of... Delta 8?! 

Wait a minute.. Isn't that stuff federally legal?

It Sure it!

So what's the hold up?... 

Wish we could tell you! This is WILDLY unjust.
