Welcome back to another episode for the SSS Pick of the Month! July’s pick was Anathema by Keri Lake, book 1 in The Eating Wood’s series. Join us as we talk about the characters and plot as well as all the disturbing aspects of this book. This is ONLY for Anathema, at time of recording Eldritch, book 2, had not been released (expected Sept 9).

***CWs: assault, spiders, fake barfing sounds***

*we apologize for the small technical issues*

Welcome to June’s SSS Pick of the Month episode! This month y’all picked Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry (book one in the Shield of Sparrows series). Join us while we discuss plotlines, characters, and of course those treehouses.

We also did a mid-year check-in at the 25 minute mark. We discuss our current read book count and well as some of our standouts of this year so far. During this episode, we also shed some light into our personal life and some serious topics do get brought up (please check the CWs).

***CW: mental health; pregnancy loss; fake barfing sounds***

Welcome to a special episode of the SSS Podcast. Today we are discussing the Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac series written by co-authors Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti. All books in the series are being discussed so please do not listen until you've read all five books. This is more of a therapy session than a summary episode, so it is filled with mmc ratings, favorite scenes, and of course unhinged discussions.

***You DO NOT need to read Zodiac Academy before you enjoy this episode. There are no spoilers for Zodiac Academy or any other book from the Solaria universe.***

Welcome to May’s SSS Pick of the Month episode! This month y’all picked Metal Slinger by Rachel Schneider (book one in the Fire and Metal Series). Join us while we discuss characters, spicy scenes, and of course some unhinged theories especially given that massive bomb at the end.

*** Close to the end of the episode, A accidentally mixed Kai’s name with Acker’s in discussing a certain relative. We are aware of the mixup but sometimes your brain moves so fast so your mouth gets busy playing catchup. Sorry for any confusion. ***

Welcome to a special edition of our podcast, the ‘SSS Pick of the Month’. April’s followers’ pick was Feathers So Vicious by Liv Zander. We discuss the love triangle, some of the plot lines, and of course raven shifting all while D does some sourdough stretch and folds.

***CW - rape is a big topic of this book therefore we discuss this topic and related topics (dubious consent being one)***

Welcome to this week’s episode where we visit Dracadia University and discuss the study of Noctisoma done by Dr Devryck Bramwell (or Dr Death) and his star pupil, Lilia Vespertine (and the mystery and steaminess that developed between). This episode is on the book Nocticadia written by Keri Lake. Also, this episode is semi chaotic, here’s your warning.

***CW: more serious -rape ; less serious - gagging sounds, worms/maggots***

***we do bleep a name as to avoid a spoiler for another unrelated series***

Welcome to our therapy session for the book Fearless written by Lauren Roberts. This episode is stuffed full of our initial reactions after reading Fearless for the first time. We are happy about the destination but not necessarily the journey for this book.

***SPOILERS FOR COMPLETE POWERLESS SERIES***

Join us for our rant session in preparation for the release of Fearless by Lauren Roberts. We talk about questions given by fellow listeners, our hopes and expectations for Fearless, and of course some unhinged reader theories (we definitely go off the deep end with them)! Don't miss next week's episode where we will see if any of these theories prove correct after we read the newest and final addition to the Powerless series, Fearless by Lauren Roberts.

***Spoilers for all currently released Powerless series books - Powerless, Powerful, and Reckless***
