Snap Action: A Patriots Podcast

The Patriots are BACK - and so are we - as we preview the Top Five Patriots in the NFL's Kickoff Game against their Super Bowl rivals Seattle Seahawks... and Sam Darnold somehow.

As OTAs give way to mandatory minicamps, one undrafted rookie is giving Patriots fans much more than just some viral catches. Snap Action goes beyond the draft board to analyze the sudden emergence of Efton Chism III, who might be not only an unheralded weapon for an offense still in need of firepower, but also a young flyer that could soar alongside another former Eagle-turned-Ram-turned-Seahawk... and that could be a very satisfying Kupp to serve to Drake Maye.

They have free-agencied. They have drafted. And now... they feast on a potential playoff-propelling schedule??? That's right! Snap Action may not have the Patriots going 17-0 like Dave Portnoy, but we take a look into the 18 weeks of the 2025 NFL Season and see plenty of victories New England can obtain to usher in a new era of winning football... so long as the offense can start its engines once again.

Every draft cycle brings with it victors that seize the spoils of starting roles... and those who fall victim to the cutdown crusade. As the 2025 Patriots draft class settles into Foxborough, Snap Action unveils some winners and losers of this haul - especially on an offense recently rebooted more times than the Cleveland Browns - and examine which ones could flourish under a new regime... and who might fumble their way off the team.

As the 2025 NFL Draft concludes, Snap Action completes its trilogy in draft coverage, going over New England's selections in Rounds 4-7. Don't worry, everyone, Vrabel still cares about the defense... it's not like offense was the largest hole to fill this offseason. Plus, a long snapper from Vanderbilt could spell the end of the last Dynasty Patriot, as Joe Cardona receives some rare competition.

You love to see it, and so does Snap Action, which uses this edition to review the three Day 2 draft picks that may add some even more long-desired firepower to compliment Stefon Diggs and make Drake Maye a happy man. Doesn't hurt when the ghost of Belichick double-dips on trade downs last night to nab a really good center... it's like he never left!

With the 4th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots select Will Campbell: OT, LSU! Snap Action reviews the first-round selection, and how the standout blocker of the class can make a long-term impact on the longevity of Drake Maye. Get it? Long-term? Longevity? Because everyone points out his short arms??? Yeah, that joke hasn't gotten old yet! (Spoiler alert: it has.)

Only hours remain between now and when good ol' Goodell announces the 4th Overall Pick in the 2025 NFL Draft (among a couple hundred others) ... like that will stop Snap Action from peering down the hypothetical wishing well! We dive into five moves that can alter the course of New England's selections Thursday night, from trades to prayers, that could brighten the outlook of Drake Maye's sophomore year... or leave him reenacting a much more grating version of Groundhog Day. Ah, how the shadows of failed WRs loom large...

While most are making their way to Title Town just a week before the 2025 NFL Draft, Snap Action takes a detour to Trade Town, where rumors of T.J. Watt and A.J. Brown are as plentiful as holes on the Patriots' offensive line; we'll tell you why to avoid the flashy sweepstakes, and which trades could actually aid a team with a long way to go.

It's time to pull out the crystal ball and dust off those draft cards, as Snap Action unveils its official mock for what New England might do in Green Bay, from Picks 4 to 238. We say "might" because such is life, and if we use a modicum of certainty? We'll end up with Ashton Jeanty at 4, left tackle be damned.
