So Do We Still Like This? episodes
- Episode 89 - Big Shiny Tunes Volume 2
Renee and Rob are back for another round of music ...criticism? That seems too generous a word. We take a look at Big Shiny Tunes 5 through 8 and highlight our favourites and least favourites! Apparently our opinions in the last Big Shiny Tunes episode made some people unhappy and I can't imagine this one is going to help!

It's been 25 years since we were gifted with A Goofy Movie so Mel and I take a look back to see how this movie holds up and whether we now things from Goofy's perspective.

Sam makes her big return and gives Michael Cera a 6/10 on the sexy scale! We are also introduced to Dylan (well you are...we knew Dylan before) who doesn't rate Michael Cera on the sexy scale (Sam does and gives him a 6/10) but we do rank the Caucasian Chris's. Oh and we do find a little bit of time to talk about 2010's Scott Pilgrim vs the World as well.

If you thought strange tech issues would stop us from bringing you our discussion on the early 90's sci-fi children's show Eerie Indiana...well, you were wrong. It didn't. Because here it is. We add another Sam to our arsenal as we talk about a show that goes so wildly off the rails as it goes on that you can't help but respect it!

Rob joins me remotely as we talk about the 1994 film Camp Nowhere and how a movie about a bunch of kids renting their own summer camp actually doesn't make a lick of sense when you think about it for a minute.

It's time to switch gears to happier topics and that was also a good reason to finally use that Disney Plus subscription! My wife and I watched Rookie of the Year and you know what that means - baby noises! And stuffy noses! Wooooo!

Ok, so a lot is happening in the world right now and a lot of it was not nearly as insane when we choose and even recorded this episode. We talk about it a little but for the most part we want this podcast to be a form of escape for a little while so come on in, unwind and listen to us talk about Devon Sawa again. Plus Mel shares some terrible prom advice and Rob...well he's still British.

Wads and Jordan are back...with a vengeance! And we're going to talk about Die Hard...with a vengeance! Both the name of the movie and the level of aggression we will put forward when discussing it!

Amanda and Renee are back to discuss what of Amanda's, and society at large's, favourite movies - Top Gun! If you like fast planes, playing with the boys and weirdly tongue heavy sex scenes, you are no doubt a fan of this 80's staple. Also I think this is somehow the first Tom Cruise movie we've covered which seems completely unacceptable.

Well it's been about 70 episodes since we last talked a book and this time we actually all read the thing! It's time to wrap up boning month by getting our literature on as Renee, Rob and I discuss Me Before You. Here's to an amazing boning month and we'll see you again in 2021! ...for another boning month. We're going to keep doing episodes in 2020 so please don't go!

About So Do We Still Like This?
From the publisher's feed
So Do We Still Like This? is a podcast where we revisit our childhoods to see if the things we used to love still hold up as adults. One person picks something they have nostalgia for (movie, TV show, book, album, video game, etc) and they go back to it along with one or more people who are experiencing it for the first time. Then we all get together to ask the question - so, do we still like this?
