Once again, hosts Barry and Julia watch a title they’ve previously never seen or even heard of. Here, they take a trip to San Francisco, consider how much a couple can hide from one another and question Palance’s frequent and colorful choice of sexual euphemisms.

May is Marty’s Movie Month! Barry’s brother and SO I MARRIED A FILM CRITIC producer/editor Marty has picked four movies that hosts Barry and Julia have never seen or even heard of! First up is the 2016 Jesse Plemons/ Molly Shannon drama, “Other People” (on Kanopy). Barry and Julia are astonished by Shannon’s performance and consider how much the generic title hurt the film.

Julia, who’s VERY Irish, and Barry, who does a subpar Irish accent, get all bangers and mash on Ron Howard’s “Far and Away” (1992). While discussing the most Irish movie ever made by a Hollywood studio, Julia is all-in on the saga of Joseph and Shannon, while Barry challenges Tom Cruise to an accent battle over the “plunge and scrub” scene.

Joe Dante’s “The Burbs” (1989) is the focus of Barry and Julia’s latest episode, as they recall their own experiences with neighbors who might have been secretly murdering people. Barry loves this dark comedy, while Julia is less convinced of its cult classic status. Plus- Barry gets into why the film’s original, un-filmed ending was actually the proper finale.
