Growing up Chris had a lot of pain. Sexually abused by a neighbor in his pre-teens. Parents divorced when he was 14. Sexually abused by a family member as a teenager. Medicating shame through pornography. An atheist by high school. Chris Burman is a Perry and Shawna listener who joins us to share his heart-wrenchingly beautiful freedom story. First, celebrating his girlfriend’s abortion yet feeling so empty.

Then, the shame and regret from the abortion was so deep it made Chris feel like vomiting, and the image of Jesus that healed him. Next, Chris’s day of reckoning, in a raging thunderstorm, driven to his knees by a deafening thunderclap and lightning strike.
