We tend to be excellent at things that won't last forever -our jobs, our hobbies, even at how we parent our kids. Now of course, those things aren't bad things to be skilled at, but as Christ followers, we need to make sure that we're putting in all that it takes to be excellent in our spiritual lives, rather than settling for being "so-so"!
